    Fast Global Illumination in IdTech8

He talked about the Global Illumination system developed for their new engine, idTech 8 (used in games like Doom and Indiana Jones). The system replaces slow, static baking with real-time ray tracing using Cascaded Radiance Volumes, allowing for immediate changes in the artistic workflow without having to wait up to 40 hours for bakes.
