2030 Podcasts: your “geopolitics and strategy podcast” What are we? 2030 Podcasts is a podcast covering strategic and (geo)political topics , with a focus on Belgium. Founder and Host is Harry Verschaffel, a 27-year old Belgian with a mission to give a platform to experts, authors and entrepreneurs active in or impacted by geopolitics. Why 2030 Podcasts? In 2030, Belgium will celebrate its 200 year anniversary, a milestone for a nation at the heart of Europe. The name is a clear reference to the future of Belgium and Europe as a whole: where are we heading: are we one step closer or one step behind shaping our future? History gives us lessons, the future only several potential scenarios and thus different possible “futures”. How are guests interviewed? We try to follow the natural flow of the conversation without too many scripted questions. A podcast should sound like a conversation, not a Q & A. Who is Harry Verschaffel ? Harry has a Master in Law from the KU Leuven (2022) and works as Business Developer for the Ghent-based startup Trendtracker. Harry started the podcast in 2024 to connect two of his life’s dreams: entrepreneurship and public service. By addressing certain topics of strategic importance for Belgium and Europe, he hope to inspire the younger generation to have a stronger strategic mindset on world affairs. Who is our audience? We attract young people but see some listeners from the category 40-50 too. It’s our ambition to cover all ages and all backgrounds because geopolitics impacts everyone. We are no Soundbite podcast nor are we for entertainment purpose: we want you to read and make up your own mind.
