Amnesty International: Libyan authorities 'are more and more violent towards migrants'

NGOs are accusing the European Union of being "complicit in horrific violations and abuses in Libya". Amnesty International in particular says the EU is effectively cooperating with what it calls a xenophobic and racist country. The accusation comes as Europe has moved to bolster efforts to stem migration and introduced the European Union Pact on Migration and Asylum, overhauling how the bloc manages its borders. Clovis Casali says he found that those who voted to remain are still unhappy that the UK is now no longer an EU member, while those who voted to leave say politicians let them down after the referendum and the hard Brexit they wanted never happened.
