The world absolutely didn't need another podcast about the band Phish, and we answered. Two people who saw their first show 10 years ago decided that their absurd phone conversations regarding Phish shows needed to be heard by the world. We listen to random shows and rank each song on a scale of 1 to 5 "phins" (don't worry, we're mostly effusive). We go off on tangents. If you want expert or inside analysis, look elsewhere. If you wanna hear two college buddies have esoteric Phish arguments, why not waste your time with us?

Episode 18: The Pod That Stepped Into Yesterday Pt.1 06.26.1994 (AKA Over Down Near...)

Kev and Dan were all set to start the new year with a podcast about the GameHoist show. They were going to do a two part episode where the first part set up Trey's senior thesis "The Man Who Stepped Into Yesterday" (aka the Gamehendge tape) and also about Hoist as an album. Then, something interesting happened in the 12/31/23 Phish show and all our plans went (AMAZINGLY I MIGHT ADD) right out the window. So here is us on December 23rd, 2023 SPECIFICALLY TALKING ABOUT THE 1987 TAPE made by Trey (more non-specific hyperbole to follow in Pt. 2, don't worry)
Happy New Years to any listeners who are still with us!!

Episode 17: 02.06.1989 (AKA You Geysers So Good!)

Kev and Dan are back to break down the earliest show we've done yet; It's Phish in 1989! Coming on the heels of an historic show at the Paradise in Boston, this show finds the band early in their transition from a Burlington bar band to the monster touring act we know and love. Highlights include a memorable version of "You Enjoy Myself", "Sanity" played in the rare fast arrangement, great covers of "La Grange" "On Your Way Down" and "Whipping Post", and a manic "David Bowie". Mostly though, they're here to talk about brass tacks, Werner Herzog and the complete history of the slot machine.Pheel Phree to email us!phivephinsmailbag@gmail.com

Episode 16: 07.02.2010 (AKA This Podcast Is Gonna Ph*** Your Phace)

Kev and Dan are back to break down Phish show from Charlotte in 2010! Highlights include "Vultures" (which Kev is always excited for), solid renditions of "The Lizards" and "You Enjoy Myself", and a surprise performance of "Mexican Cousin". The main highlight however is the biggest bust-out in Phish history; a performance of the fan-favorite and obscenity-laced Phish classic "Fuck Your Face", which hadn't been heard live since 1987! Mostly though, they're here to perfect their New Zealand accents and give tips on how to win the balloon dart game at the fair.

Episode 15: 06.21.1994 (AKA Smokin' In the Boys Room)(AAKA 'The Fire Alarm Show')

Kev and Dan are back to break down the 1994 Cincinnati show in which the fire alarm went off! Taking place only one day before the show recorded for LivePhish vol. 10, highlights of this memorable evening include Trey trying to convince Phish phans not to smoke (good luck), stellar renditions of "My Friend, My Friend" and Jimi Hendrix's "Fire" (get it?), and an all-time (and atypical) "Split Open and Melt". Mostly though, we're here to debate the relative merits of Chicken Limbo and Gator Golf.
Our March episode will cover the 07.02.2010 show
