The Consciousness Salon is a conversation where psychologist Dr. Lauren Costine partners with Alana Roshay, The Boundary Boss and community activist to raise individual and collective consciousness through enlivening conversations about psychological and social justice issues.     Dr. Lauren and Alana Roshay explore the stages of racial justice and how to be a white ally. The reckoning is upon us! Black communities have been systemically oppressed since the U.S. was founded. White communities can no longer plead ignorance. The time is now to create sustainable and concrete change to do whatever it takes to eradicate the institutional racism. Starting with internal and external reconciliation, this episode looks into the ways we can look at our own racism and how we unconsciously and consciously collude with this country’s deep anti-black systems.
