Klantrecensies
Very good for people who think way too much about these things
Of the two shows on this feed I think the Midnight Boys are the best. Van and Charles (and Jomi and Steve) are often able to have very good conversations about all aspects of nerd/fandom. I feel like they’re sometimes hesitant to go into spaces where they are uncomfortable, trying carefully to tread the line where I think they should be either more secure in their own thoughts or stay away from the topic. Van has accused himself of filling the podcast with empty calories and that’s a bit of a problem, but they’re a fun hang so I guess it’s fine.
The House of R feed is less good I think. Joanna is a great critic, we have different tastes but that’s how it should be. Her relationship with Mallory is also great. What bothers me though is that Mallory truly never thinks something is bad. Or mediocre. Or even good. Everything is amazing, outstanding, unbelievable, and it’s exhausting. (Btw don’t change Mallory. The fact that you love everything, I love that for you.)
Such a fun podcast
This is such a fun podcast! I started watching house of the dragon, just so that I can listen to Mallory & Joanna’s epic House of R deep dives. The hosts of the Ringer Verse have such great chemistry with each other, I enjoy following the feed while trying to keep up with all the content they’re covering.
