No - a "W" wasn't enough, no matter how many times you said it.
Sorry, but this was a pretty lame podcast. Kind of matched the 49ers performance. Because their game was one of the last played on Sunday, I had the opportunity to look at a lot of other games. There were some spectacular ones; hard fought by both sides; lots of touchdowns and brilliant , simply brilliant plays.
Then there was the 49er game. Where nearly everyone in our team was healthy. Playing the Chargers, where nearly no one was healthy. The 49ers were simply dullsville. Supposedly with all these pro-bowl caliper players, which they have paid for dearly (both financially and in terms of draft capital). This is supposedly a great team? With undisputed Super Bowl potential? Then where were the great plays? Why didn't they EVER look overwhelming? If the Chargers had had a few more if their star players, they would have bulldozed the 49ers.
Sorry Kyle, but you just fidgeted around the obvious during the last 10 minutes of this podcast. The 49ers haven't looked convincing as a Super Bowl contender any game this season, yet. And it was kind if the same all last year too. It's easy to see if you just look at the points scored versus given up - and compare back with 2019. That's the bottom line. That's when they were truly FUN to watch.
