Big Walk (2026): Oi! Do You Have Your Big Walk License?

Hello. Papers please. What do you mean, "what papers"? Your big walk papers. You know, completion certificate, although if you have a signed BW-92 "tried big walk for a few hours but didn't like it" form, I'm legally required to accept that at well. We just need to know you aren't ruining this for yourself. What's that? You haven't finished big walk? You do know you are trying to listen to this episode, right? Can you repeat that? Yes, right into this microphone. I'm really quite sorry, I'm going to have to send you to prison. Officer, this person, right here. Yep, hands up, thank you. You might think we're overreacting, but it's for the best, really. Don't you know we're already past peak big walk? People who haven't played it yet are scarce resource! It's a matter of national security! Yes, prison, off you go. Frankly, I don't have a whole lot of sympathy for someone who hasn't played it yet. I don't think those kind of people should be on the streets. I have children out there, you know.   In this episode: EXTREME SPOILER WARNINGS, language evolution, doner, tea kettle code, hanging with your friend, puzzles, geese, get your ass down here, Big Walk: San Bernardino. ~shoutouts zone~ San Bernardino National Forest ~~~ Our theme music is Glass Half Full by the incredible Cliff, you can find him on Bandcamp! Kerbal Space Program (2011*): Will, Where Are Your Solar Panels?

Warning - this is not a fair or balanced episode. Maybe if Karp or Gary had been available, we could have got someone to get the hose and spray us down with cold water - but they aren't here, so nothing is going to stop Will and Feather from gushing about a very special game for an hour. And since Feather is writing this intro, it means I get to say: Kerbal Space Program deserves it. This silly little game about frog dudes and their incredibly wobbly rocket ships (Will! you forgot autostrut again!!) is important! I can't think of another game that is that good at capturing what it means to be an Engineer. In this episode: jobs, why rockets go sideways, reaction wheels, Feather is the reason why we don't have cool things anymore, exploring the kerbol system, the upcoming Romeo mission to Juno, successors, Boeing Starliner. ~shoutouts zone~ The Delta V Subway Map NASA's tiny little ESCAPADE probes and Blue Origin's very large New Glenn Space Shuttle Contingency 2 Engine Out BLUE abort Duna and Back using only Electric Power and Xenon Matt Lowne: Saving 10 Kerbals From The Mun ~~~ Our theme music is Glass Half Full by the incredible Cliff, you can find him on Bandcamp!
