    DANIEL HIGGS AND THE OPEN SECRET OF LANGUAGE / Daniel Higgs and Seldom Careful

    For over 35 years I've followed in the wake of sparks emitted from this man's concentric musical and spiritual path. Daniel Higgs is prophetic poet-mystic-dimensional traveler. His bands, words, performances and art are full of ontological puns and zen koan-like observations. This was one of my most anticipated interviews of anyone I've spoken with. Since it was recorded over the phone, the sound quality wavers at times, but the transmissions are strong. Seldom Careful also beamed in from across the ocean to join me down the bottomless rabbit hole Mr Higgs dug with his bare hands. Seldom discussed his favorite album and song, and waxed philosophic about Lungfish (Higg's most well known and longest running project). I'm really beyond excited to share this episode with everyone.

    JOHN TRUBEE AND THE UGLY JANITORS OF AMERICA / John Trubee and Mykal Board

    John Trubee has been challenging conventions for decades with his music, art, writing and performance. He is passionate, he is angry, but he isn't bitter or burnt. He's eternally sharp and eternally pissed, eternally inspired. He can sing, but doesn't really try. He uses music as an exorcism. Think Zappa with intelligent lyrics or punk with big band fusion jazz arrangements. That's a start. Anyhow, his music is to experienced. Check out his Bandcamp and download or buy some of his albums, so he can make more. Now, more than ever, the world needs John Trubee.

    SACCHARINE TRUST / Joe Baiza Interview

    This episode was a treat for me. I've been listening to Joe Baiza play since I was 14 and first heard Saccharine Trust on my local college station. Joe's guitar style is hard describe : its by turns angular and beautiful, capapble of expressing rage and sensuality in equal measure. Joe Baiza is a searcher at heart. You can hear it in his guitar tone and expression. Bottom line is that he is full of soul and has a lot going on in his head. It was a pleasure talking to him.
