From interviews to intimate chats, in Season 2 we will be diving even deeper into the behind the scenes we don't always share. Expect openness, authenticity and as always - lots of inspiration.

    23. Therapy, transitions & the year that was 2020

I think it's fair to say that 2020 really was the year that shook things up for all us. In one way or another, life as we knew it was flipped upside down. In this episode, I share intimately some of the most life-changing and significant events in my personal life that shaped my own year. Plus the lessons I learned now looking back.

    24. Honouring the season you're in with Mayfair Clements

Have you ever felt like you're in a season where you would much rather hit "fast forward" and get to the good bit? Maybe comparison is looming, and discontentment building. We've all been there at some point. For some of us, this was 2020. Itching to be somewhere else, doing something else, maybe even with someone else. In this conversation, I speak with Elite Performance Coach, Mayfair Clements about why honouring the season you're in truly matters and most importantly, how we can begin to do that work. We also talk all things marriage, self-love and find out more about she got to where she is today.

    25. 3 ways to find alignment right now

    25. 3 ways to find alignment right now

After a year like 2020, the word "alignment" took on a whole new meaning for me. There were many moments when it was tempting to go after the shiny thing, instead of staying true to my own path. Whether the distractions come in the form of social media, comparison or even fear – I believe that we can all do the inner work it takes to get aligned. In this episode I share 3 ways to find clarity, master focus and ultimately be aligned for your journey.

    13. Pursuing your passions with Hannah Ajala

    13. Pursuing your passions with Hannah Ajala

Every so often I meet someone who embodies excellence in all that they do. Hannah Ajala is one of those people. Since having the pleasure of hosting her launch party for We Are Black Journos, I have been honoured to have front row seats to the growth and journey Hannah is on.

With 5 years under her belt at the prestigious BBC, at the age of 25 Hannah recently joined the BBC Africa team where her passion and creativity are making waves in sharing our stories. When she's not slaying news reports and creating viral documentaries - Hannah is a self professed "Jack of all trades, master of all". Founding movements and organisations such as mentorship programme "Pursue Your Passion", black travel community, "Black British Travel Meet Up" and women's Christian fellowship, "Ladies Who Fellowship", it's fair to say that she has her hand in many pots.

In this episode (part 1 of my conversation with Hannah) we explore just how she balances so many passions and why it is important that we do the things that make us come alive. We talk about the face of journalism and ask what moves are being made in diversity and inclusion, and we also unpack what it takes to do a TED Talk, and find that rejection is often God's form of redirection.

    15. Medicine, art and managing your mental health with Sutra

    15. Medicine, art and managing your mental health with Sutra

With Mental Health in the black community being so close to my heart, it was important for me to have this conversation with the phenomenal being that is Sutra. Sutra is the founder of the platform that is making vulnerability cool again, Poll Therapy (instagram.com/polltherapy). Doctor by profession, artist by nature (including music and literary work) Sutra boldly revels in being many things - and does it with grace.

In episode 15, we sat down during Mental Health Awareness week to have an honest conversation around experiencing a loss of joy. How a close dance with death changed everything and the role of art and faith in her own healing process.

We talk about discovering her creative voice in medical school. And delving deeper into topics within Sutra’s debut book “Marrow”, we unpack identity and what home looks like for Ghana-raised Sutra.
