    Anthony Kim Got Robbed + Simmies Golf Is Real

    Jeff dropped a comment telling Anthony Kim he should've won Comeback Player of the Year at the ESPYs — and Kim actually saw it. That sets off the argument that opens the episode: is a 12-years-gone, fought-through-addiction return a bigger comeback than an NFL star bouncing back from an Achilles tear? Jeff says it's not close. James thinks it's a great story that maybe doesn't belong on an award-show stage. Then the news we've been sitting on for months: we signed the lease for Simmies Golf. After 10 weeks of commercial negotiations that felt like buying a car in slow motion, we've got the keys to a 6-bay, 24/7 indoor simulator in Carol Stream — phone-unlock the bay, hit range balls or play 18 in the AC, get all your data, and actually afford it. Permits are going in and we're aiming to open in September. Podcast, league, and now the sim — the whole thing comes full circle.     A Villain Is Born — Golf Haters, League Cheaters & YouTube Golf vs the PGA | EP35

    Jeff spent last week telling amateurs they don't need a rangefinder. This week the internet came for him — and a villain was born. Now he's ready to fight every hater in his comments, and James is gleefully pouring gasoline on it. From there we get into the stuff every weekend golfer actually argues about: is YouTube golf really more popular than the PGA Tour now? Was that "plus-3.5" who got smoked by hole 14 ever a plus-3.5? Should you be allowed to blast music from your cart — or does the whole course have to hear your playlist? (Jeff's answer: wear some earbuds.) Then it gets personal and a little dark inside our own league. With the cut line tight and a major next week, we rolled out a new anti-cheating rule — mark your playing partner's ball, call "sus," and it's minus 1,000 points if you're caught.     Rangefinders Are a Scam for Amateur Golfers

    Jeff has a hill he's willing to die on: if you're a 20-plus handicap, you do NOT need a rangefinder — the cart GPS is free, front-middle-back is all you can actually use, and lasering every shot is why your group plays so slow. James pushes back hard, and the "do amateurs need a rangefinder or is a cart GPS enough" debate turns into the most hate-comment-worthy take we've done all season. Plus: Brother vs Brother finally played Mount Prospect — except Jeff says it "doesn't count" because the camera was off (and we're still arguing about that 106 at Seven Bridges). The Path to Par league is heading to Mount Prospect for the first time in 10 years, we blow up trying to book a major (every good Chicago course is somehow booked), Jeff appoints himself team manager for the 2v2 against Cowboy & Wick, and we break down why the new YouTube Golf Tour felt like one long $3 million ad.     My Brother Says He's Got Me Cheating On Camera

    Golf turned into a courtroom this week. After Bob Does Sports' Joey Coldcut got accused of lifting an embedded ball (and threw a fit on camera), we spent the whole episode building rules to stop "sus" activity in our own league: declare your ball, mark your opponent's ball ("the Cowboy Rule"), and a "call sus" penalty where a wrong accusation costs YOU a stroke. It got personal — James swears he has Jeff on video moving his ball, and Jeff admits he fluffs his lie. (The league's already caught a marked-ball cheat and a guy with 15 clubs — which is why we count every bag now.) Plus: a Bittersweet recap (James 88 back from a 116; Jeff earns the nickname "TDJ — Triple Digit Jeff"), the tightest leaderboard race we've had now that there's a cut line, and Wyndham Clark winning his 2nd major — which started a real fight about whether golf should finally let fans heckle.     12 Drops, 9 Lost Balls — Our Worst Round Ever

    We teamed up for Brother vs Brother, and it fell apart: James shot 116 — twelve drops, nine lost balls on the back nine, zero pars — two days after we both shot our best rounds of the year (83 and 84 walking the tips). Now we're on the longest losing streak of our careers, and we spent hole 10 arguing about who's the worst teammate. Then the hard truth: a kid three years into golf is beating us, and we've played fifteen — it's "internet poker for golf," where the kids study launch-monitor data, and we just guessed by ball flight. Plus pros throwing clubs (one got a two-stroke penalty), Wyndham Clark leading Shinnecock, Sun's "1995 Nike 5-wood" eagle to win at Prairie Landing, and a Simmies update (the lease is dragging and Jeff may have found a better spot).     I Call My Brother 1 Hour Before — He Can't Say No

    Brother vs Brother is still unsettled — Jeff says the Bridges of Poplar round "doesn't count" because James switched the venue with no notice, and we never got a verdict. So you decide: counts = Jeff's 0-2, doesn't = 0-1. New twist for Game 3 — Jeff calls James with one hour's notice, names the course, and James can't say no. James says he'll sweep it 4-0 and still give Jeff a game. Game 3's teased for Father's Day. Up top: Nelly won her 4th major, and Jeff cashed a 22% longshot on her, which leads into why you putt everything out and the dirtiest move in golf (handing your opponent 7-foot "gimmes" to tilt him).     My Brother Says Our Round "Doesn't Count"

    Brother vs Brother Round 2 took place at Bridges of Poplar; Jeff lost again — and now he says it "doesn't count" because James switched the venue with two hours' notice. James says Jeff asked if it counts, agreed, recorded the whole thing, then backpedaled after getting spanked. So we're letting you decide: counts = Jeff's 0-2, doesn't = 0-1, and we replay at Mount Prospect. Plus a Path to Par mid-season report card: the cut line is a hit, people are panicking, and we're fighting over whether 21, 23, or 25 handicaps should move up a tee box. And up top: the U.S. Women's Open at Riviera, Michelle Wie's 300-yard bomb out of retirement, and her pitch to play men's and women's majors on the same courses the same week.     He Won Our First Major On The Senior Tees

    Our first-ever Path to Par major became the "Squawk at the T-Hawk." Tom won the Members Open at Thunderhawk by playing the senior tees as a single-digit handicap. Legal, but is it a championship or an asterisk? The brothers fight over tiered tee boxes versus a single standard tee for everyone. Then the receipts: Brother vs Brother Round 1 finally happened at Highlands of Elgin, and Jeff — who picked the course to break James — shot 101 and lost. The league now calls him "Triple Digit Jeff," and the Shin Bros are no longer undefeated. The 9-month 2v2 streak is dead too, killed by new rivals Kawwboy & Mr. Wick at Sunset Valley. Plus: putting with a glove on, Full Swing on Netflix, the new cut line, and a quick Simmies lease update. Comment or DM: A single digit won the major from the senior tees.
