I chat about the importance of self-care at this time of year and have a hug of solidarity for those who don't enjoy this time of year. (Any use of "festive" is used with air quotes!)
Our Welsh Mountain Wool Exploration is split across this episode as, whooo, theres a lot of great info to learn and lots of great exploration.
There is also chat about the Tin Can Knits-along ad the Small Gestures Swap.
This is the last show of the year - I'm thankful for all your support and enthusiasm for WoolWork (nee KnitBritish). I look forward to what 2020 will bring us!

I end with festive song from Snowy O McSnowerson (and guest sheep!) and listen out for a few expletives at the end, in the outtakes!

    Thanks for listening.

Settle in for a woolly hour and a half, I have a chat with the fabulous Esther Rutter, author of This Golden Fleece and I bring you a talk from Alice Underwood, who discussed the role of the Rare Breeds Survival Trust at our recent Hands on Wool Exploration day, at Fine Fettle Fibres.
All that and KALS and more!

    Happy listening!

    Episode 120 Something new

Today we are talking about Norfolk Horn in the Wool Exploration; there’s chat of a new KAL (blog posts coming out soon too) and the Good Intentions Club: I talk about my day at Fine Fettle Fibres earlier this month and bring you one of the talks from that day too.
When it’s up - on itunes, spotify, the website and wherever you get your podcasts - I do hope you enjoy!

This is the last podcast until October so that I can take my annual pod-break and it is a pretty bumper episode!
There is a wee bit about my trip to woolness; our castilemilk moorit wool exploration and some news about WoolWork.
When the podcast comes back in October it will have a new name - WoolWork. This is something that I’ve thought long and hard about.
When you’ve listened, I hope you will feel it speaks more about the kind of things that are important and central to the podcast and to me. I’m a different crafter and person since I did that initial 1 year blog challenge to knit with only British wool and while I feel reverence toward everything that meant and means, I feel the podcast title ought to speak to other levels.
Same host - same content - same wool explorations - same love local wool - just a new title!

All links are with the shownotes at the website.
Enjoy the rest of the summer and we'll meet back here in October when it is sweater kniting weather!
