An experienced hiker, Claire packed plenty of water and followed an established trail in a park visited by millions of people each year. These podcasts tell the stories of people facing incredible challenges in extreme conditions. They are told so well, with such great voices and are super enjoyable to listen to. They are gripping and emotional. I highly recommend this series.

Against the Odds has definitely been a podcast I’ve shared with many as a “must listen”. Hearing again (first a movie) Alive was so devastating, yet daring and inspiring to what our true human condition once stripped down to nothing can achieve. Reminding us of not only our wonder of life but it’s fragility, as well as our emotional and spiritual resistance that when again the odds - can be conquered. The Cast and Readers have made this podcast riveting in itself, professional on every level. Well done! Can’t wait for more!

uber eats is a scam!

Good stories ruined by a overly melodramatic telling! In every episode at least twice the hero drops to their knees and cry’s out with anguish… B grade movie stuff.

Grandad taught me

I’ve enjoyed the Antarctica episodes, except for a couple of inaccuracies. It seems that the writers have conflated Shackleton’s second expedition (which ended in the rescue of all crew from Elephant island) and his earlier attempted crossing of the continent in 1908-9. It was the latter which Henry Worsley and his modern day team were commemorating. The second inaccuracy is the presenter’s infuriating pronunciation of Antarctica as “Anardika”.
