Red Scare Theatre Company presents a five part audio drama experience.
Apocalypse Songs follows a local radio station reporter Amy Louise Chen investigating the tapes of Clara Wilson, an obscure 1960s musician whose cryptic lyrics seem to have predicted the future. Amy joins forces with Clara’s great-nephew Josh to investigate the mystery of Clara’s “Apocalypse Songs”.

Cringeworthy
This review system really needs negative star options, because rubbish like this doesn’t deserve anything positive. It is a product of a state funded arts scheme, a sort of dole for otherwise unemployable ‘creatives’. This bunch should go back to stocking supermarket shelves.
The ‘plot’ (to be charitable) is a audio rip off / melange of ‘Rosemary’s Baby’ / ‘Blair Witch Project’. The ‘acting’ is sufficiently wooden to leave splinters in your eardrums.
Overall, the impression is of a drama school term project by the class losers, given a C- solely because the markers are worried about the students self-esteem.
Please don’t judge New Zealand by this embarrassment.
