Enjoy this show occasionally, but here is way too much focus on Home Automation, and very little — if anything— on the privacy issues this can open up.
If you want to invite indiscriminate tracking and privacy violations into your home, home automation is for you. Blind enthusiasm for home automation without consideration for what you are opening yourself, family, friends and neighbours up to is deeply problematic.
Somehow I doubt the hosts read these comments, but David and Rose strike me as decent people. As a privacy researcher and advocate, I would love to hear them do more to help protect people
