The Chicago Tylenol Murders Pt. 3

The Chicago Tylenol Murders Pt. 3

This is the finale of our Serial Killers and Conspiracy Theories crossover: By 2011, the FBI was ready to reexamine the evidence. A theory emerged: What if the Mad Poisoner was actually the Unabomber? Ted Kaczynski had proven he was a revenge-seeking terrorist, and he had connections to Chicago. Perhaps he traded homemade bombs for poisoned pills. Or maybe the deadly concoctions came straight from the Johnson & Johnson facility itself. In the absence of clear answers, only theories remain… and rumors that someone is still out there, replacing Halloween treats with fatal tricks.

Don't just GET....SUBCRIBE NOW A+

I have been thinking about writing this review for some time now but wanted to be sure I did it justice!

Cults is a series you will never get bored listening to. It is so good and there are so many great things about Cults, that I feel writing the review it deserves is beyond my literary capacity but I will give it a go...

As of today, I have now listened to 212 episodes of Cults and I started listening back in Dec 2020 starting at episode one - the Welcome Trailer.

First up, Greg and Vanessa, you two are such wonderful hosts with great speaking voices and captivating delivery. Through the tone and modulation of your voices and the way you share telling the story between you, you pull me right in and hold my full attention from intro to outro! I respect your pronounciation of words that are not English in origin and your clear anunciation of everything you both say is a sheer pleasure to behold. You are exceptional hosts a I truly love listening to you tell these stories (and Serial Killers ones, too!) If there is an Award for Podcast Host/s of the year, you two would be strong contenders!

Next up, the content, writing and research: TOP MARKS HERE! Most tellings are made up of two episodes, the first being an introduction and back story in order to set the scene for the next episode which dives deep into the Cult that is being dicussed, its goings on and its followers themselves. Each episode starts with a gripping teaser which are always an exciting onset to the episode.
The level of detail in each episode is such that you need not know a damn thing about the Cult you are hearing about (or cults in general) in order to gain a full grasp of who they were, what they were about and how they came about. The research is so extensive and thorough that at no stage do any of the stories feel like they have gaps in them that you need fill in yourself. Also, at the end of each episode, Greg and Vanessa share the main/most helpful sources of their research which in turn leads to some great further reading or watching.
Futher to the excellent research, the Writers have done such a great job compiling all research in such a way that any level of listener can come away with a strong understanding of what they have just listened to and can/could then retell the story in a reletively comprehensive manner to someone else (for me that someone else is my Husband and sometimes co-workers during our lunch break).

However, in regards to the writing, I do have on one quip...please stop referring to snakes as "poisonous" or any derivitive thereof - They are venomous which is markedly different to poisonous!
With that being said, well done to all of you who have a role to play in the writing and researching of the show ;)

Production: Max and Ron Cutler, you guys rock! Thanks so much for creating such wonderful shows for us to listen to :D You guys are like Podcast Royalty! If I could give one critisism it would be to be relevant with the advertising of other Podcasts - i.e adverts for Medical Mysteries or Unexplained Mysteries, Serial Killers etc are relevant and well received - Blind Dating and Our Love Story not relevant.

Overall, Cults is a must listen Podcast with an educational emphasis on psychology and sociology and human behaviour.
In my opinion, there is not a single episode that falls short of the others and every single one is written and produced to an extremely high standard and I for one can't get enough! Click SUBCRIBE now! You will be glad you did ;)

Thanks Parcast!

My new favourite!

Really great show. It’s very informative without being too gruesome. The presenters also make a big effort to warn of any triggering content. Plus they have soothing voices. That helps

Scarily fascinating

In depth analyses of recent well known, obscure, historical, domestic U.S. and internationally founded groups. Most cases are studied in two parts, starting with a focus on a leader’s life story, then examining the trajectory of practices and their outcomes.
