Even for Kiwis
At first a programme on the media by a US station might not seem to have much to offer Kiwis (unless like me, you’re an obsessive about American politics and culture). But the remit of this podcast is much broader than the US media as such, and looks at all kinds of aspects of the global Zeitgeist (e.g. a recent show on the various kinds of nihilism - who knew nihilism could be entertaining?).
I was moved to write this review by their current (early 2015) side-series on House of Cards, which, of course, is broadcast simultaneously in New Zealand. Not only is this sub-podcast highly entertaining, but the analysis by former Washington DC journalists and politicos made me appreciate both TV show and podcast in a whole new way.
