Chaosium Con 2024 Recap - Break Room

Join us again in the Break Room as we decompress from playing and running games from Chaosium Con 2024 and discuss all the awesome people we had the chance to connect with!

These Break Room discussions are meant to be very casual, and a slight break from our ususal TTRPG-related content so that we can seem more human in order to better blend in among the populace... We originally recorded this session in early January shortly after New Years, but alas release schedules got the better of us, so our resolutions may be slightly out of date. We hope you enjoy our chat and movie/book recommendations!

    Critically Reading Scenarios - Consultation

In this episode, we consult on a serious case of critically reading scenarios with an eye for running them at the table. We discuss some red flags we've noticed over the years, some things we tend to look for, and generally discuss how and why we pick the scenarios that we do. Hope you enjoy it!

    Ten Candles RPG - Aberration

    Ten Candles RPG - Aberration

In this episode, we confront our first Aberration - attempting to dissect and understand an entire ttrpg system rather than just a scenario. We discuss our thoughts and experiences with the tragic horror of the Ten Candles Roleplaying game, written by Stephen Dewey, and published by Cavalry Games. If you'd like to learn more about the system and consider purchasing it, you can find the physical and PDF versions available here: https://cavalrygames.com/shop

    Break Room - 1

Join us in the Break Room between Dissections and Consultations where we casually chat about what we're up to while we're off-shift at the H.West Memorial Mortuary and Laboratories, and welcome our new full-time Reanimator Holly!

    Scenario Structure - Consultation

    Scenario Structure - Consultation

In this episode, we consult on a serious case of analyzing scenario structure, in which we share our personal thoughts on recognizing it while reading, and tips for how to use it to your advantage, or tweak some aspects of a given scenario to better suit your needs.

Consultations are more free-form topic discussions based on our own GM experiences, preferences, and gaming philosophies. We hope some of this gibbering madness can be helpful to other GMs dealing with, or considering using, these issues at their table (or at least add new and exciting chattering voices inside listener's heads).
