Focus on the case isn’t there

I’ve listened to the first 20mins or so of the first episode...and it feels like the host is making it too much about himself. Also not really relaying any facts? Just reeling off vague idiom after vague idiom interspersed with a (fairly thin) personal connection to the case. After 20 mins, all I know about the case is the name of the missing boy, and that tells me that the focus on telling his story just isn’t there.
