Great work

Great investigative journalism in a podcast medium.

Enthralling

A fascinating cold case told with empathy which clearly demonstrates the research undertaken

Aquidity ,

A grim cold case that may or may not have some answers

This podcast was well researched, although I did find the presenter to be somewhat irritating for some reason. Nevertheless, I followed the case closely and felt great sympathy for Maria James and her sons. If I were to compare this podcast with Bowraville, Dan Box did a superb job there. Likewise, the anonymous Australian narrator of the inimitable Casefile, with an almost flat affect is able to tell a story compellingly. Moving away from Australia, a number of female narrators manage to deliver and tell a story with conviction in their own signature styles, such as Connie Walker, from the CBC, Sarah Koenig, of Serial fame, and Madeline Baran, from ‘in the dark’ to name two from a crowded field.
