Vision Beyond Sight

Dr. Lynn Hellerstein

I am Dr. Lynn and welcome to Vision Beyond Sight. Join me each week as I have powerful and inspiring conversations with my guests in the areas of health and wellness, vision care, brain health, education, sports, and psychology. They will share their inspirational stories of healing and life transformation through their treatments and vision expansion. For more than 45 years as a developmental optometrist, I’ve helped thousands of people transform their lives through vision training and visualization. Now, my passion has shifted from treating patients individually with traditional vision problems to empowering people to utilize their inner vision through visualization. My mission is to inspire and empower millions of people through their vision and visualization skills so that they may see and experience their world through the lens of clarity, courage, and confidence. And with my new way to look at your life through a new “lens”, you will be ready to meet yourself and receive visualizations for miracles to come. Your vision does not define you...you define your vision. A Vision Beyond Sight. About Dr. Lynn Hellerstein A pioneer in vision therapy and developmental optometry, for more than 30 years Dr. Lynn has helped thousands of children and adults improve their vision and transform their lives — at home, in the classroom, and most recently on the playing field. Her breakthrough methods unlock barriers to learning and “rewire” around brain injuries, and vision perception or processing deficits. But you don’t have to have a vision problem to benefit: her brain training strategies may be the missing magic if you’re an athlete trying to nail a tricky shot or stay cool in competition. If it’s a skill you can visualize, Dr. Lynn can help train your eyes — and mind’s eye — on success. Award-winning author Dr. Lynn has extensive professional publications to her credit, but witnessing the joy of her patients overcoming a learning barrier or meeting a sports goal put her on a mission: to deliver her methods into a form that could reach a wide audience of parents and educators, to help more kids and more athletes. Her award-winning series, SEE IT. SAY IT. DO IT!®, is the happy result.

Whispers of Color: Finding Hue Within You and Seeing Colors in a Different Way with Sue Elizabeth Lee (Episode #162)

In this colorful episode of Vision Beyond Sight, Dr. Lynn Hellerstein welcomes Sue Elizabeth Lee – artist, poet, and cofounder of the Sock It To Em Sock Campaign – to talk about her delightful book Whispers of Color. Sue shares her incredible story of how she started to wake up in the middle of the night and write poems about specific colors. Realizing her descriptions relate to her memories and life moments, she continued writing during the day and even invented color names like “Faded Blue Jeans.” Her work eventually turned into a collection of poems about 52 colors! Later on, her words inspired the late musician to Animal Planet and her good friend Chris Hewitt to compose music for every poem and see “what those colors sound like.” Along with Sue’s narration of every poem, Whispers of Color became a multisensory experience. Her hope is for every reader to find stillness and reflection in experiencing every color, much like when we pause and marvel at a rainbow in the sky. At the age of 77, Sue reminds us to never give up on our dreams. It is with ourselves that we will live with for the rest of our lives so we owe it to us to take courage and find the way to make our dreams work, especially in these times when it is easier to connect with people and utilize technology, even AI. Sue inspires us to see colors – and life – in a different way. What if color weren’t a color? The answer could surprise “hue.” Dr. Lynn Hellerstein, Developmental Optometrist, co-owner of Hellerstein & Brenner Vision Center, P.C., award-winning author and international speaker, holds powerful and inspiring conversations with her guests in the areas of health, wellness, education, sports and psychology. Celebrating 74 Years of Healing, Vision, and Transformation with Dr. Lynn Hellerstein (Episode #157)

It’s Dr. Lynn Hellerstein’s birthday week! Our beloved host is celebrating 74 years of healing, transformation, and inspiring others through the power of vision, spirituality, and personal growth. In this episode, Dr. Lynn reflects how the lesson of letting go (a topic she has discussed in an earlier podcast) is an ongoing journey. This time, she is inspired by the idea of “breaking the habit of being myself,” as she shares her ongoing journey of releasing perfectionism, anxiety, negative self-talk, and fear through courage, community, love, and trust in the Divine. Dr. Lynn discusses the importance of intention, hope, love, and “kesher,” the Hebrew word for deep heartfelt connection. Through keynote speaking, mentoring, podcasting, visualization experiences, and her work as a RIM (Regenerating Images in Memory) Facilitator, she remains committed to expanding people’s vision and helping them transform their lives. She shares how her RIM journey began more than 20 years ago after being diagnosed with a colon tumor, leading her through deep personal healing work. Since January 2026, she has been helping clients improve decision-making, release emotional and physical stress, resolve conflict, and neutralize painful memories. As part of her birthday celebration, she is offering listeners a free RIM session with the request that they donate to a favorite charity. The conversation also explores spirituality, meditation, energy healing, and the influence of Dr. Joe Dispenza’s work on changing thought patterns and emotional responses. Dr. Lynn reflects on recent spiritual time spent in San Miguel, Mexico, and shares how focusing on love instead of fear can transform your energy and your life. Listeners are encouraged to reflect on what they truly love, what stories or limitations they are ready to release, and what they want to create next in life. As Dr. Lynn reminds us, when you let go of worry and negative self-talk, amazing opportunities often appear. Sometimes what feels like an ending is actually the beginning of something new. Awakening Your Deepest Purpose and Living Your Soul’s Work with Jerry Fishman (Episode #156)

In this insightful conversation, Dr. Lynn Hellerstein speaks with Jerry Fishman, a lifelong creator, performer, and transformational leader devoted to helping people see—and live—beyond the limits of who they’ve been told they are, to talk about what it truly means to live your deepest purpose. Jerry shares how purpose is not something we find outside ourselves, but something we reconnect with by listening inwardly and aligning with what feels most true. Drawing from his journey as a young artist in New York and his transformational work today, Jerry explores why so many people feel disconnected from purpose due to distractions, responsibilities, and external expectations. He explains that purpose is not the same as career or achievement—it’s about fulfillment, presence, and authentic expression. Tune in to explore what it really means to live on purpose, why purpose is not tied to career or performance, and how intuition, presence, and reconnecting with childhood joy can guide us back to ourselves. Jerry and Lynn also discuss meditation, trust, and the importance of quieting the external world to listen more deeply within. Jerry shares that purpose is ultimately an expression of love and closes by reflecting on his own soul purpose: bringing people together, helping others feel they belong, and empowering people to live more authentically through his “Awakening Purpose” destination retreats and global outreach work with I Am Humanity.
