Wedding Capture Co is a wedding photography & videography educational podcast hosted by Chris Spice (Spice Wedding Films) and Tom Langford (Tom Langford Photography). Chris & Tom have over 15 years of wedding photo/video experience and will be sharing their vast knowledge on everything from running the business to shooting and editing a wedding.     072: Holidays, Analogue Living & Building a CRM

    It’s been a minute since we sat down to record and we’ve both had a busy few weeks - albeit in very different ways.   Tom has been away on a real adventure of a holiday and Chris has been working on his edit pile and constructing his own bespoke CRM.   In this episode we both talk about the takeaways from our endeavours as well as coming together on a really lovely chat about analogue living; something that stemmed from the resolutions/goals we set in our ‘Year in Review’ episode at the beginning of 2026. (Episode 67 if you want to listen!)   Both of us have found ourselves really enjoying journalling, reading and trying to strike a solid balance between, business, mindfulness and the clarity that screen-free time can bring.     071: Don't Turn into a Crab!

    Are you scrolling through Instagram right now and feel that everything just looks the same??  It feels like wedding suppliers are all jumping on the latest trends, buying the latest presets and copying the last big reel that went viral.    We know it’s a wild ride in the wedding world right now, but what if you stopped chasing what works everyone else and shared what speaks to you?  We’re called wedding creatives for a reason, so this episode is all about tuning out the noise of social media, copying our industry idols and actually showcasing our own creativity, our own voice and being authentically ourselves.    We talk about the joy of experimenting with new kit and techniques, showing your face online (as it’s the most unique thing you have!) and how actively going against the grain will make you stand out more than joining in the race with everyone else.     This episode was born entirely out of an off-pod conversation between us and it gets quite impassioned in places!   We hope this one will leave you feeling inspired and empowered to share what you truly love and attract the clients who you’re meant to work for.     070: What to do when you can’t work together

    In an ideal world, wedding suppliers will all get along, make friends and be able to work in harmony, even if you only met for the first time on the day. Sadly that isn’t always the case and we’ve probably all got a story where we’ve worked with someone who just doesn’t want to play nice.     069: Using AI in Your Wedding Business

    Unless you’re living under a rock, you’ve probably seen how commonplace the use of AI is online and in everyday life now.  So, if you’re a wedding creative and fearing that you’re going to get left behind by the robots, then this episode is for you. The last time we did a deep dive on AI was back in Episode 17 and in the 18 months since we recorded that, the changes and new features that have emerged almost beggar belief. From the dawn of generative fill and Imagen AI’s colour grading, we’re now in a world, where Ai can’t only help edit your photos, it can create whole new images and video, all by feeding it a simple prompt. In this episode Chris does a full rundown on the AI tools he used to create a full-blown Christmas advert for his business and the impact that sharing that on Instagram had.  We then go on to talk about some of the AI tools that we both use on a regular basis to help give balance and stay on top of everything as one-person business owner in 2026.     068: Productive or Procrastinator?

    Happy New Year! (If it’s not too late to say that still!?)   We’re back for our first episode of 2026 and we kick things off with a quick catchup about how we spent the festive period and Chris’ wedding on New Years Eve. It wouldn’t be an episode of the WCC without some form of topic and this week we have a good one…    Are you productive or are you a procrastinator??     With edits from last year still looming and a tax return to file before the end of the month, we thought this was a good chat to have to we can all harness that productivity and get caught up to speed, before the 2026 season kicks in.     For us, it’s all about being honest with yourself; knowing how & when that procrastination can creep in and how to keep it at bay.  We talk through the routines, mindset and tools we use in order to be productive and also offer the theory that procrastination isn’t always a bad thing.     Don’t forget to like, subscribe and review this podcast, as we love to hear from all of you!

    067: Our 2025 Year in Review

    Our final episode of 2025, but due to a late release it’s now also the first episode of 2026!   Back at the beginning of December, Tom & Chris sat down to record what has become an annual tradition of the Wedding Capture Co; our big end of year episode where we give ourselves (and each other) our annual appraisal of how we’ve found the past 12 months. We take stock of our highs & lows of the year as well as set some goals for the new year ahead.  We take turns to talk about our journeys through 2025; a year which has been resoundingly tough for wedding suppliers and how we’ve navigated ourselves through that and come out the other side. Chris’ year has involved becoming a father, buying a camcorder and really finding his ideal client, whilst Tom’s has been more about doing less weddings, getting reacquainted with film photography and the rewards of being mentored. We also look back over the 23 episodes we made in 2025 and talk about the direction of this podcast too.     066: Is it Worth Being Self Employed?

    It’s fair to say that most wedding creatives work for themselves - so what better topic for a December episode than a good chat over the myths, wins & realities of running your own business in the wedding industry? The Christmas tree is up, but the gloves are off when it comes to sharing the honest truths of self employment.     Whilst we’re definitely not qualified experts in business (or accountants for financial advice!) we both have a decade of running wedding business’ behind us and at times run them in very different ways, but with quite similar goals in mind. We talk through our day-to-day routines, the do’s and don’ts and the biggest lessons we’ve learnt in business along the way.    This episode is a lesson in self-confidence, self discipline and an unwavering stubbornness to work for anyone other than ourselves.   Being self employed is a wild ride, but also hugely rewarding and we hope this episode is enough to encourage anyone to make the leap and go full time.     065: Our Predictions for 2026 Wedding Trends

    As we enter the last month of 2025, we’re all beginning to look ahead into the new year and what it might have in store for us as wedding creatives.  In this episode Tom & Chris muse over their thoughts & predictions for what they think the biggest trends of 2026 will be. The big takeaways include: - The continued growth of AI and content creation at weddings. - Will 2026 see the death of the editorial style all together?  - Does BTS content for social media just feel old & dated now?  - Gen-Z couples want different weddings to millennials, do we need to adapt?  - Should we all start offering analogue? We’re certainly not experts or trendsetters, so don’t take this as gospel truth, but it’s certainly a fun episode that’ll give you some food for thought about next year.  Do you have any ideas for big trends that we filed to mention?
