    This one is personal. I grew up in Two Harbors. So when I talk about this town as an elopement location I am not reading from a list, I am telling you about a place that shaped me. And I think that comes through in everything I share in this episode. Two Harbors sits about thirty minutes north of Duluth and it has so much character packed into a genuinely small town. In this episode I cover the Two Harbors Lighthouse, Gooseberry Falls State Park, Burlington Bay, Grand Superior Lodge, ship watching at the ore docks, agate hunting, the historic Edna G tugboat, and of course... Betty's Pies. Which is non-negotiable. I also share a story from a shoot in Two Harbors where it was sunny and completely fogged in at the same time. One of those North Shore moments you just cannot plan for and cannot replicate. That story alone is worth a listen.     Duluth is the first stop on Highway 61, and I am going to be honest with you right from the start. It is not my personal favorite place to shoot elopements. But it is absolutely the right choice for a certain kind of couple. And if that is you, Duluth is going to deliver in a big way. In this episode I am walking you through everything you need to know about eloping in Duluth: the best locations, where to eat and drink, where to stay, and most importantly, who this city is actually right for. I cover Park Point, Brighton Beach, Enger Tower, the historic Edna G tugboat, and I share a story about a shoot near the lift bridge involving an iron ore boat and a very excited crew that I think about all the time. Duluth has a lot of heart. It has great food, a beautiful waterfront, and some genuinely stunning corners that make for incredible photos.     Ever wondered what an elopement day actually looks like from start to finish? Not the highlight reel... the real thing? In this episode I'm taking you inside a real North Shore elopement I am currently planning for this September. A cozy cabin off Cramer Road in Finland, Minnesota with barely any cell service. A ceremony in the woods. A canoe, in wedding attire. Palisade Head at golden hour. And a private meal to end the day. I'm sharing all of it: how the day came together, why every element was chosen intentionally, and what this particular elopement says about what is actually possible when you let go of the traditional wedding format and build something completely your own. I also want to be honest, some of these details might shift before September gets here. And that's one of the most beautiful things about eloping. Nothing is locked in by a venue contract or a catering deposit. The day belongs to the couple and it can flex however it needs to. This is what I get to do for a living.
