    The Mikes have been chewed up and spit out by these mean streets, so they're jumping into the Space Bridge Nexus, along with the enigmatic nicknameless Abbey, to unwrap the hardest-boiled episode of Transformers Animated yet: Season 3's "This Is Why I Hate Machines." Of all the Space Bridges mounted on top of inventor's towers in New Detroit, why did Fanzone have to walk into his? Ratchet and the Motor City's toughest cop (maybe fugitive) leap across the galaxy to find a cold new era for Cybertron: the interim rule of acting Magnus, Sentinel Prime! Under the shadowy trench coat of crooked curfews and long loogies, this craven new world is one of seedy deals and back-alley snitches--and Fanzone feels right at home! As he and Ratchet literally go underground on Cybertron, the two sleuths uncover the truth about Ratchet's past, Shockwave's true colors, and the High Council's darkest secrets.
