After 25 years at the Late Night desk, Conan realized that the only people at his holiday party are the men and women who work for him. Over the years and despite thousands of interviews, Conan has never made a real and lasting friendship with any of his celebrity guests. So, he started a podcast to do just that. Deeper, unboundedly playful, and free from FCC regulations, Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend is a weekly opportunity for Conan to hang out with the people he enjoys most and perhaps find some real friendship along the way.

The only podcast ever

Other podcasts don't exist anymore, this is only one, it's true!! I'm Erin, a big Conan fan from the Philippines! I'm not a big podcast person but as I said, I'm a big Conan fan so I thought I'd give this a shot. I've listened to a couple episodes here and there. I loved it, obviously, but I didn't fully get into it until a couple months ago. I'm a college freshman and it hasn't been easy for me, the culture shock hit me hard. The amount of work I've been doing has been overwhelming to me and had just made me full of anxiety. One day, I decided to listen to this as I do my tasks. I'm an art student so the things I have to do are pretty challenging and time-consuming. Imagine seeing someone sketching something then suddenly burst out laughing, I think I've been getting weird looks from my parents. Next thing I know, I can't do my tasks without it anymore! It really helped me to just take it easy. Before, whenever I do work my brain is just freaking out, I couldn't handle my thoughts and I needed something to distract me and calm me down. Listening to this really helped me, it just makes me so happy and comforted. It made me less frustrated and stressed while I'm working on something. Listening to it gets me all hyped up, happy, and motivated and I get work done!! I'm so glad i have something that gives me joy as I work on these stressful things. I'm so happy I decided to start listening to it while doing my tasks that one night I was very anxious and overwhelmed with the amount of work I had to do. Conan's work has gotten me through a lot, impacted me, and changed my life in so many ways, and I'm forever grateful about that. The impact him and his work had on me will always mean the world. My interest and love for comedy has only gotten stronger because of him. My comfort comedian always and forever!! I think the impact this podcast had on me is the most special one because I'm at this pivotal moment in my life. I just would like to thank Conan, Sona, and Matt for... everything!! Thank you guys for giving me the happiness and laughter I never knew I needed even more, thank you for being there when I feel down and need comfort, thank you for making my doing-schoolwork-time fun and helping me get work done, thank you for being so... chill... I don't even know what I'm saying anymore but the point is!! I'm forever grateful for you all and I love you guys!! Team Coco Forever 🧡
