    Everyday Life 82-1 — Camp Countdown, Holiday Mode & One Last Gaming Session

    This week on Everyday Life, Nick and Sean catch up on everything that’s been going on over the last seven days as they both prepare for very different kinds of chaos. Nick is mentally getting himself ready for camp next week, which means plenty of planning, organising, and trying to convince himself he’s fully prepared for whatever is about to be thrown his way.     Dad Life 81-2 — When Did Our Kids Become People?!

    That’s right — we actually managed it… a double episode week! This week on Dad Life, we’re talking about that strange parenting moment when you suddenly realise your kids aren’t just little kids anymore. They’ve got proper opinions. Their own sense of humour. Music tastes you may or may not approve of. Strong views on the world. And worst of all… arguments that are sometimes annoyingly logical. We chat about those little moments that make you stop and think, “Hang on… when did you become an actual person?” From having real conversations instead of one-word answers, to watching their personalities develop, seeing their confidence grow, and realising they’re starting to make choices completely independent of you — it’s equal parts amazing, hilarious, and slightly terrifying. There’s pride in seeing them grow, but also that bittersweet feeling of missing the tiny version of them that needed you for absolutely everything.     Everyday Life Episode 80 — Surgery Stories, Theatre Camp & an England Win

    This week’s episode is another one-off, as real life once again had absolutely no respect for our usual schedule. Nick’s surgery and recovery, theatre camp for the kiddos, and the show they performed meant things were already fairly hectic. Then Sean added to the chaos by taking his eldest to the pub to watch England take on Norway — and thankfully, they got the win!     Everyday Life Episode 79 — Info Dumps, July 4th & Sending Love to Nick

We missed last week while Sean celebrated his eldest turning 20 (how is that even possible?!), and then our schedules decided they had absolutely no interest in lining up.     Episode 77 — Daddy-Daughter Takeover with Emily

    This week’s episode is a little different as Nick is off living his best life in Universal, so Sean is joined by a very special guest — his 14-year-old daughter, Emily. Emily is into video games like Far Cry, Stray and Little Nightmares, loves anime-style drawing, and has a music taste that ranges from country to pop punk and emo. So basically, she’s cooler than Sean, and this episode gives her the perfect chance to prove it. This has all the ingredients for a really fun chat because Emily is old enough to have actual opinions, but still young enough to absolutely roast her dad on his own podcast. Sean and Emily talk through a mix of dad-and-daughter topics, gaming, creativity, music, family life, and what it’s like growing up between two households. From the differences between Dad’s house and Mum’s house, to what teenagers actually care about, to which of Emily’s favourite games Sean would survive in, nothing is off the table.
