Falling in Love With Potential: Codependency and How to Break Free

"You become so attached to what the potential could be that you're not seeing the reality. You're not seeing the person in front of you." — Reena In this deeply personal solo episode, Reena opens up about her own marriage and the pattern she didn't see until she was already falling in love with potential. Not with a person. With an idea. A projection. A version of someone that kept showing up just enough to keep hope alive and then disappearing again. This is an episode about codependency, over-functioning, and what it really means to love someone's potential instead of who they actually are. Reena also touches on the caretaker identity - why some people are unconsciously attracted to having a project instead of a partner, and what that costs them. She brings in the physics of potential energy, the law of resonance, and Newton's first law to explain (through both science and lived experience) why patterns don't change without an internal catalyst. She also introduces a powerful Human Design lens: the undefined spleen center, and why people with this open center tend to hold on to people, places, and situations far longer than is healthy — out of fear of the unknown. It's about finally giving yourself permission to stop choosing someone else's potential over yourself. This episode is for anyone who has ever walked on eggshells, replayed arguments in their head at 2am, or felt crazy for wanting something that seemed so simple - to be seen, heard, and consistently loved. You are not crazy. You are not too much. And this conversation is long overdue. What are You Feeding Your Life? How the Frequency of What You Let Into Your World Creates Your Reality

_*]:min-w-0 gap-3"> You've heard 'you are what you eat.' But that's just one piece.  _*]:min-w-0 gap-3"> In this solo episode, Reena breaks down one of the most practically powerful concepts she uses every day: the relationship between input and output.  She walks through the science of frequency and the Hawkins Scale of Consciousness, a research-backed framework that maps every emotion and state of being to a measurable energetic frequency.  She also explains how Human Design's open centers reveal exactly where you're most susceptible to absorbing other people's energy without even realizing it.  _*]:min-w-0 gap-3"> This episode is for anyone who feels stuck, drained, or like their output just isn't matching the effort they're putting in. The answer might not be working harder. It might be what you're letting in. "Your inputs are literally calibrating your emotional frequency. Breaking Out of the Box: Healing, Intuition, and Finding Your Truth When Where You Come From No Longer Fits | ft. Jenn Webber

What happens when the belief system you were raised in can no longer contain who you actually are? In this conversation, Reena sits down with Jenn Webber - transformation guide and founder of Belief by Design - for one of the most honest explorations of what it means to step outside the box you were handed and find your own truth. Jenn was raised fourth generation in a fundamentalist Christian sect where intuition, energy work, and anything beyond the literal teachings of the Bible was considered dangerous territory. From the time she was seven or eight years old, she felt drawn to crystals, deep conversations, psychology, and things she couldn't explain, and spent decades quietly suppressing gifts her community had no language for. This is a conversation about what it takes to leave not just a religion, but an identity. About the loneliness of the liminal space between who you were and who you're becoming. About courage, vulnerability, and why your body will eventually start screaming what your mind has been too afraid to say. Jenn shares her journey through Reiki, belief coding, silent counseling, and somatic practice, and how combining these modalities helps people release the emotional and cellular memory that has been quietly running their lives. Reena and Jenn also go deep on Human Design, the connection between suppressed emotion and physical illness, why you can't want healing for someone more than they want it for themselves, and what it means to truly sit with yourself. This episode is for anyone who has ever felt too big for the box they were put in — and wondered if it was safe to finally step out of it. About Jenn Webber Jenn Webber is a transformation guide and founder of Belief by Design. Raised fourth generation in a fundamentalist Christian community, Jenn spent decades navigating the tension between her intuitive gifts and the belief system she was handed. Like, Reena, she works with people in the messy middle - those recreating their identity and figuring out what's actually true for them. Jenn uses a combination of Reiki, belief coding, silent counseling, and somatic practice.  Connect with Jenn Webber: beliefbydesign.com Email Jenn: beliefbydesign@yahoo.com Find Jenn on Facebook and Instagram: @beliefbydesign or search Jenn Webber "When I own who I am and I step into the accountability and responsibility piece of taking action on who I am — courage shows up." — Jenn "When you heal yourself, you heal the people around you. What It Looks Like When a Man Actually Does the Work: Divorce, Growth & Emotional Safety | ft. Chris Wiles

What does it actually look like when a man chooses growth after everything falls apart? In this episode, Reena sits down with Chris, after 30 years of friendship, for one of the most honest conversations this podcast has ever held. Chris is a father of four who didn't see his separation coming. What followed was one of the most painful and ultimately transformative seasons of his life. Chris opens up about being blindsided by what ultimately caused the end of his 17-year marriage, discovering his own codependency patterns, learning to be vulnerable for the first time, and how letting go of expectation changed everything, including a 30-year friendship that quietly became something more. This episode is for the woman who wonders if emotionally available men actually exist AND for the man who is sitting in the (potential) wreckage of his relationship right now, confused and blindsided, wondering what happened. And it's for anyone who has ever wondered whether the pain they're in might actually be the beginning of something better. Spoiler: it absolutely can be. But only if you choose it. What We Cover in This Episode What it felt like to be blindsided by the end of a 17-year marriage - and the painful process of seeing his own blind spots Why conflict aversion is one of the most quietly destructive forces in a relationship How his relationship with his four kids actually improved after the separation The moment vulnerability became the key to everything - not just in relationships, but in life What codependency really is - and why it shows up in far more relationships than we think The daily practices that anchored his growth: meditation, intentionality, and the work of noticing How 30 years of friendship - and one honest conversation - became the foundation for real partnership What releasing expectation actually looks like in practice and why it's a gift of freedom The difference between therapy and coaching, and why accountability changes everything What Chris would tell any man whose partner is on the verge of leaving right now Memorable Moments & Quotes "If I was the person I am now, emotionally, back then — it would have been very different. I would not have swum along in that muck for 20 years." — Chris "The key to it all was vulnerability. Being honest with people about what you needed, what you wanted — and letting them be honest too." — Chris "Codependency is basically acting in such a way to shape the outcome. It's a form of control. Letting go of that — actively working against that — was everything." — Chris "Releasing expectation is a gift of freedom. It gives the other person the right to choose how they respond — and it's not the end of the story, regardless of what they choose." — Chris "You can choose to be the victim, or you can do something with it and turn that energy into something so beautiful that you lift the whole vibration of everything around you." — Reena "I am the best version of myself. There has never been a better version of me. I don't long to go back to anything that existed before that." — Chris "What if it feels like something is ending — but it's just the beginning?" — Reena "Vulnerability with other people requires the depth of being willing to look at how you feel, what your role is — and acknowledge that you even have feelings." — Reena "I had a huge well of pain to catalyze action. The question is — how do you do the work before you have the pain that makes you choose it?" — Chris About Chris Chris is a father of four, engineer, and Reena's partner after 30 years of friendship. After being blindsided by the end of his 17-year marriage, Chris chose growth over bitterness : doing deep therapeutic work, building a daily practice, and learning to be vulnerable in ways he never had before. His journey from emotionally closed-off to emotionally available is the living proof that men can do this work, and that it changes everything. This is just the beginning.
