Lesley Geronimo on the Path to Self-Mastery

Lesley Geronimo on the Path to Self-Mastery

Join us on this episode with Lesley Geronimo, Life Mentor and Healing Specialist, who shares about how “the mastery of life is the mastery of basics,” which is the essence of the mastery of self. She gives quite a unique and easy-to-understand definition of it as well, tapping the different phases: our search for success, for life balance, and for a higher purpose or meaning.

She shares about her own feeling of “meaninglessness” at some point that prompted her on her own search - this psychospiritual condition that her mentor Master Del Pe calls the Dark Night of the Soul syndrome which is most often felt when our soul tries to send a message to prompt us to take the next step or leap in our own Divine Timing towards development and enlightenment.

We explore finding the balance between yearning for growth and contentment, the practice of detachment, and always asking “what lesson am I supposed to learn here?” Lesley gives us a few tools and guidance through a Synchronized Breathing Meditation that we can use anytime of the day to keep our centers in check!

Experiencing Transcendence and Positivity with our Body

Experiencing Transcendence and Positivity with our Body

Join us in this episode with Ea Torrado, founder and facilitator of Daloy Movement, “a movement meditation practice that could also be healing, transformative, and spiritual.”  She shares with us her path to this calling that she believes could be the Filipino form of healing similar to “hilot.” Through her story, we learn that body acceptance is a lot about accepting this vessel for what it is, trusting in its wisdom, and breaking free from what we think it should be. In doing so, we transcend - as moving is what we naturally do.

    Questions for Increasing Closeness

    Questions for Increasing Closeness

With the intention to build a Sage Conversations community and a level of closeness with our listeners, hosts Michiko and Roanna wanted to explore a different format where they get to share more about themselves. Inspired by the study of psychologists, Drs. Arthur and Elaine Aron, they go through a set of the 36 Questions for Increasing Closeness (also known as the “Questions that Lead to Love”). They recognize how this exercise has brought certain things out to light that they might not have thought of or said out loud had they not been posed these questions. We hope that this episode inspires you to sit down and take time as well to get to know yourself, a loved one, or a total stranger and let yourself be open and vulnerable.

Life Lessons and Life Coaching with Victoria Herrera

Life Lessons and Life Coaching with Victoria Herrera

We have a chat with Victoria Herrera, Marketing Head of Filipino livestreaming app Kumu and Founder of consulting company Next Theory, who tells us about her early path as a newly International Certified Life Coach. She reminds us about finding the beauty in the process of our chosen paths - hers in particular started out with her seeing life coaches who helped her through major turning points and realizations.  While she starts this new chapter as one, she acknowledges that there will always be constant self-exploration, the lessons on having to put our own egos in check, setting boundaries, and always giving the client the love, guidance, and safe space that they deserve. This episode makes us think about our own paths, how we got here, to “sit with [ourselves], and just be.”

Joe Villafranca on Slow Living as a Way to Cope with Anxiety

Joe Villafranca on Slow Living as a Way to Cope with Anxiety

In this episode, Joe Villafranca bravely shares with us her own experience in facing her anxiety disorder and the multiple efforts that have helped her and continue to help her overcome it. While we learn about the different ways of addressing it, the most important thing to remember is to be kind to ourselves. She emphasizes how important it is first to acknowledge where we are, to understand what it is we’re going through, and to not be stubborn about seeking proper help. Presently a co-founder and business owner of Slow Co, a plant shop that advocates for slow living, she reminds us to appreciate the beautiful process of healing and the transcendent experience we could have by nurturing and “growing with” our fellow living things.
