    MM 052: Meet Jamie-Lyn

    Mitzi takes Jamie-Lyn to the Come On Inn for Happy Hour this week ... because she had to. Fortunately there was alcohol a-flowin' to get them through this episode. (Last in a series of "Meet the Co-Hosts.") The Drink du Jour: Old-Fashioned 2 oz bourbon whiskey (or Southern Comfort) 2 dashes Angostura® bitters 1 splash water 1 tsp sugar 1 maraschino cherry 1 orange wedge Mix sugar, water and angostura bitters in an old-fashioned glass. Drop in a cherry and an orange wedge. Muddle into a paste using a muddler or the back end of a spoon. The Drink du Jour: The God Forbidlet (Vodka Gimlet) 2 oz Vodka 1 3/4 oz Rose's lime juice or other lime cordial Pour the ingredients into a mixing glass with ice cubes. Stir well.     MM 050: Meet Meghan

    This week, Mitzi takes Meghan to the Come On Inn for a little "girl time," but Meghan turns the tables on her ... which is tough to do since the tables are bolted to the floor. (Second in a series of "Meet the Co-Hosts.") The Drink du Jour: Tom Collins 1 1/2 ounces gin 1 ounce lemon juice 1/2 ounce simple syrup Club soda Maraschino cherry for garnish Lemon slice for garnish Pour the gin, lemon juice, and sugar syrup in a collins glass with ice cubes. Stir thoroughly. Top with club soda. Garnish with the cherry and orange slice.     MM 049: Meet Trenell

    Mitzi takes Trenell to the Come On Inn to find out about her deep, dark secrets. And no, that's not racist. (First in a random series of "Meet the Co-Hosts.") The Drink du Jour: Singapore Sling 1 1/2 ounces gin 1 ounce lemon juice 1/4 ounce simple syrup 1 1/2 teaspoon powdered sugar 2 ounces club soda 1/2 ounce cherry brandy, kirsch, or Cherry Heering Lemon slice for garnish Maraschino cherry for garnish Pour the gin, lemon juice, simple syrup, and powdered sugar into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Shake well. Strain into a highball glass with ice cubes. Pour in the club soda. Float the cherry brandy on top by pouring it over the back of a bar spoon.
