Thistle and Oak, an Alternative Americana duo, blend the bright harmonies of old-time folk music with the captivating choruses of alternative rock and Americana to create a mixture of sound that coalesces the duality in their music. Finding inspiration in, and in turn drawing comparisons to, The Head and The Heart, Of Monsters and Men, Nickel Creek, and The Civil Wars, they infuse honest warmth and genuine emotion into the meaning of their lyrics and the texture of their harmonies. The duo, composed of singer-songwriters Paul Ryan and Lindsey Ann, first bumped into each other at a blues bar in Chicago where a spark of romantic chemistry turned into creative collaboration. They shared stories of their musical hopes and dreams until the sun came up and have been chasing those dreams together ever since. Their live shows run the expanse of human emotion from lonesome ballads to exuberant anthems, delivering a contagious, passionate performance. Jhyve’s been a hidden gem in Toronto's R&B scene as far back at 2011, but by 2018, he'd landed several songs on Spotify’s Canada Viral Top 50 playlist, opened for international acts like Jessie Reyez, and received a JUNO Award nomination for his last EP, Conversations.

Born Jamaal Desmond Bowry in Scarborough, Ontario to Kittitian parents, Jhyve was no stranger to music in his household. His father would often DJ for local West Indian community events, while his mother sang in the church choir. All through his upbringing, there was never a moment without music or musical influences.

By taking the soulful melodies of classic R&B anthems, the edge and raw energy of classic rock, and the textures of 80s and 90s pop music, Jhyve has a sound that’s hard to miss. Add to that his personal, sharp lyrics and a charming, yet commanding presence; and Jhyve manages to form a style that’s inspired by many, comparable to few, and unique to one.

Natalie is a multi-award-winning recording artist who’s acclaimed for her thrilling vocals, heartfelt lyrics, and extensive knowledge of the music industry. Natalie Nicole has thirteen (13) solo albums and an additional seventeen (17) singles to her credit. In addition to her tenure in music, she has more than 10 years in broadcast radio as a radio host and VoiceOver talent, and has done national commercials for McDonald’s, Cadillac, Quiznos, and other international brands. 



She built her home recording studio in 2005, when it was still a relatively new practice, and continues to produce and co-produce her own music. She’s also a session vocalist for the Dublin Studio Hub, and film and TV composer with Music + Pictures, whose credits include Law and Order, The Office, and many others worldwide. She brings her extensive knowledge of what is radio ready and what is easiest to license for film & TV to her own acoustic and electric songs. Natalie has called Los Angeles home since 2006.
