    4. How to Create Community and Learn How to PLAY Again with Tali Dee, Ph.D.

    4. How to Create Community and Learn How to PLAY Again with Tali Dee, Ph.D.

Are you comfortable making BAD art? It might be the antidote to burnout! Today I’m chatting with Tali Dee, a former therapist who went from helping clients through creative burnout, to experiencing it herself.

After burnout manifested in physical symptoms that sent her to the hospital, Tali knew it was time to take a leave of absence. And in that time away, she’s realized the absolute necessity of centering creativity in our lives.

And we’re not just talking about “I’ll get to that creative practice once I’m in a better place” but actually using that creative practice as the bridge to that better place. We’re also diving deep into community. If you feel like it’s been hard to create a sense of community ever since the pandemic began, you’re not alone.

So what does it take? Does adulthood mean that we’re always going to have to deal with a paywall to meet new people? Or can we take matters into our own hands?

I hope this episodes leaves you feeling inspired to go pick up that blank canvas that’s been sitting in the corner for months. You deserve it! And if you’re in the throes of burnout, check out the resources Tali has to offer HERE.

In this episode, we’re chatting about:

    Tali’s experience with burnout
Why you should de-prioritize external values when moving through burnout
How you can get reconnected with your inner child
The personal responsibility that comes with creating a sense of community
    What is a Creative Friday?
How can we get more comfortable being beginners?

    3. Navigating Grief Through Body Liberation with José San Miguel, Founder of Playground Movement

    3. Navigating Grief Through Body Liberation with José San Miguel, Founder of Playground Movement

If you wish the wellness industry was a bit less puritanical, this episode is for you. I'm talking - you don't need to forbid yourself from going out dancing at the night club to feel good in your body. In fact, that sweaty, exhilarating feeling you get at a nightclub could be the key to body liberation.

I'm sitting down with José San Miguel, Founder of Playground Movement, for a conversation that will leave you dancing through the street like Nicole Kidman after she divorced Tom Cruise!

After going through tremendous loss, José came out on the other side with such a beautiful perspective of the world. I originally reached out to them because of this sentiment: we should assume that everyone is grieving.

They put a video on their tiktok about this philosophy and the wind was sucked out of me. How can we show up for each other in grief? And how can we show up for ourselves? This is more than a conversation about fitness. Essentially, it's two people sitting down to reflect on what it is to move through darkness and alchemize grief.

In this episode, we're chatting about:

    Personal style
    Queer expression
Alchemizing grief to bring a new idea into the world
    What's next for Playground Movement
    The third degree dinner party

We mention a few juicy resources that you don't want to miss out on so grab those HERE! You can also find the Spotify playlist that will continue the Wild Geese experience into your music loving lives.

If you felt moved by this episode, leave a review with a very long personal story about you alchemized grief. I'm just kidding, you don't have to do that (but I would read it if you did and I would give you a little virtual forehead kiss).

    2. How to Become a Better Conversationalist and Content Curation Vs. Creation with Miriam Tinberg

    2. How to Become a Better Conversationalist and Content Curation Vs. Creation with Miriam Tinberg

What makes a good conversation? I know we've all stepped away from a conversation feeling like "oof, I did not nail that one." It doesn't matter how extroverted you are! Some conversations are just...stilted.

Well today, I'm sitting down with Miriam Tinberg - a content curator who has built a following on Tiktok that allowed her to leave her unaligned job. Since leaving her job, she has intentionally created opportunities for conversations with strangers.

Whether you feel like you're a good conversationalist or not, this episode will leave you with a nugget that might just change the way you look at "awkward" conversations.

In this episode, we're chatting about:

    The two types of conversationalists
    Why certain conversations feel uncomfortable
An alternative to book club that puts less pressure on participants
What it means to be a content curator
Why Miriam opened up her calendar to total strangers to expand her social network

Click HERE to find the resources mentioned in the episode, including the Spotify playlist with each guests meaningful song.

If you enjoyed this episode, tell your best friend who lives in a different state about it. And then gab with me in the DMs about how it's bringing you closer!

    1. Let The Soft Animal of Your Body Love What it Loves! The Ethos of the Pod and A Love Letter to Mary Oliver, Wild Geese

    1. Let The Soft Animal of Your Body Love What it Loves! The Ethos of the Pod and A Love Letter to Mary Oliver, Wild Geese

Why should you listen to a podcast called Wild Geese? Well, maybe because you want to feel the wonder of a Mary Oliver poem strewn throughout your morning commute.

My name is Anna Corinne, and together, I think we'll make a pretty good gaggle (that's what a group of geese is called). I've been studying the podcast industry for a while. Managing and strategizing with other hosts has shown me the magic tool to sustainable podcasting: curiosity.

So I've created this podcast to dive headfirst into my curiosity and help you do the same. We're flipping the script away from mindless consumption and really zooming in on conversations that will wake us up.

In each episode, I'm sitting down with guests that have one thing in common: they exude Mary Oliver energy. And once a month, you can expect a solo episode as part of my Soft Animal series.

This podcast is for the community organizers, creative entrepreneurs, and conscious consumers.

In this episode, I'm chatting about:

Why the heck you're listening to a podcast called "Wild Geese"
    Who this podcast is for
A bit of my backstory as the trusty narrator of your experience here

I'm genuinely so excited to put this out into the world. As a fellow creative, I know you understand the impact of acknowledgement.

So if you like what you're hearing, don't forget to share the show with your besties. You could even pop a review on Apple podcasts. That will earn you a tearful DM from me (I'm not kidding).

Click HERE to access resources mentioned in the episode! Those articles and poems are just WAITING to be read in full.

    Welcome to Wild Geese!

    Welcome to Wild Geese!

    Hi, silly goose!

Welcome to Wild Geese - a supportive space to consider the question: "tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?" Cue the quarter life crisis!

I'm your host, Anna Corinne. I'm a podcast strategist and actress based in NYC. For the past year and change, I've been supporting other people in launching their podcast. And now it's my turn to step out of my shadow artist era!

Each week, we'll be diving into questions like "how can we have better conversations?" and "what happens if we assume everyone is grieving?" All of my guests exude Mary Oliver energy.

They'll leave you feeling more keenly aware of the magic all around you. Get ready to tap into the wonder and steadfastness that creatives need to fill their well. And trust me, we're all creatives. If you've been conditioned out of believing that about yourself - buckle up babe!
