    Bro. Ernie continues his deep dive into the Book of St. John - get your notebooks and pens ready! Tables flip, coins scatter, and an entire temple marketplace goes silent, because Jesus refuses to let worship be sold. We open the King James Bible to the Gospel of John 2:13-25 and follow the story of Passover in Jerusalem where merchants, money changers, and religious routine collide with the authority of Christ. We talk through why Passover is more than a calendar detail and how John uses it to show Jesus fulfilling the Law of Moses while revealing the heart of God. Then we slow down over the cleansing of the temple: why the location matters, what “my Father’s house” means, and how Psalm 69 (“The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up”) frames this moment as prophecy, not just anger. We walk through the Gospel of John chapter 2 with our Simple Discipleship Unfiltered table crew, slowing down the story of Cana until you can feel the pressure in the room: the hosts are out of wine, Mary refuses to let shame take over the celebration, and Jesus responds with a firm but loving boundary about timing. Peter gets called on the carpet for one simple thing: he ate with Gentiles. That sounds small until you realize it threatened an entire worldview built on separation, tradition, and who gets counted as “clean.” We sit down in Acts 11:1–17 and track how the early church handles its first major backlash after the gospel crosses a cultural line, and why Peter’s only real defense is the one that still matters today: God did it. We walk carefully through Peter’s retelling of the sheet vision, the voice from heaven, and the Spirit’s clear instruction to go “nothing doubting.” Then we connect the dots to Cornelius, the angelic message, and the moment the Holy Ghost falls on Gentiles “as on us at the beginning.” Along the way, we talk honestly about what the baptism of the Holy Ghost is for, why spiritual power is meant to fuel witness, and why no one can manufacture the real thing by coaching someone to repeat sounds.
