Ep 50: Working With Our Younger Selves to Deepen Queer Healing

Ep 50: Working With Our Younger Selves to Deepen Queer Healing

What does it mean to "work with our younger selves," and why even bother? In this solo episode with me (host, Adam James Cohen, LMFT!) we will cover this and more. We ALL carry the wounds of our younger selves. And, like ghosts with unfinished business, the wounds of our younger selves - if left untended - can remain within us, like toxins, and come out in ways that interrupt the life we want for ourselves. Great conversations to self analyze

I found this podcast from a random post on Instagram. I only came out 2 months ago as Bi/Queer, I’m 37 female and married to a cis-het-male so it’s been a very confusing time to balance who I am and where I fit in the world/community I thought I knew. Listening to this podcast, even after only a few episodes, has helped me feel not so alone but also to bring more awareness to issues I’ve been wrestling with or unaware of that I need to look at. I’m just starting (and unsure of a bit) of how to grow my queer community so this podcast is one step in that direction and gives me ideas on how to continue on my second adolescence even if I’m not out dating in the world.
