The Checkout Introduces Listeners to a Variety of Artists
I look forward to each edition of The Checkout. Host Simon Rentner always has an interesting guess with some great music. My favorite part of the show is that the musical guests do not meet some narrow definition of jazz. I am not interested in if it is or is not jazz, but I am interested in the musicians thoughts on composition and to the new music which I otherwise may not be exposed. Thank you Mr. Rentner and WBGO!
Fantastic listening
Excellent podcast with a wide ranging focus on jazz music. Doesn’t focus on only one area but takes a very welcome broad view. Lots of interesting guests and discussions and great music as well.
