    Routine Surgery Complications Left Me Stuck in the Hospital for a Week - Barggianos Episode 80

    What was supposed to be a routine gallbladder surgery turned into six nights in the hospital for Matt—and one of the scariest experiences of his life. In Barggianos Episode 80, Matt returns to the studio and explains how his recovery suddenly went downhill. He went from believing he would be home and back to normal within a day to suffering unbearable pain, struggling to breathe, being rushed to the ER and transferred by ambulance to another hospital. Matt opens up about the fear of not knowing what was wrong, surviving on a liquid diet, dealing with powerful pain medication, waiting all weekend for answers and the frightening middle-of-the-night moment when his heart started racing and the pain returned. He also shares the important lesson the experience taught him about appreciating his family, enjoying everyday moments and not putting life off until later.
