Daily Devotions: Helping Those Who Hate You - February 4, 2026

Exodus 23:4–5 (ESV) “If you meet your enemy’s ox or his donkey going astray, you shall bring it back to him. If you see the donkey of one who hates you lying under its burden, you shall refrain from leaving him with it; you shall rescue it with him.” In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall highlights a surprising call to grace found in the law of Moses. Even in practical instructions about justice and daily conduct, God teaches His people not to let hostility shape their behavior. The Lord calls His people to do what is right, even toward those who oppose them. This devotion speaks to everyday relationships, reminding believers that how others feel toward us should never determine how we respond. God’s character does not change, and His people are called to reflect that same mercy and integrity. ---- Discover fundamental truths and the power of Scripture with Pastor David E. Daily Devotions: Boundaries - February 3, 2026

Exodus 19:5–6 (ESV) “Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession among all peoples, for all the earth is mine; and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words that you shall speak to the people of Israel.” In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall points out a clear pattern in Scripture: God’s promises often come with conditions. In Exodus, the Lord offers Israel a deep relationship and a calling to serve, but it begins with an “if” — obedience and faithfulness to His covenant. Choices and lifestyle matter after salvation. God’s desire to work through His people has not changed, but walking in His promises requires honoring His boundaries. ---- Discover fundamental truths and the power of Scripture with Pastor David E. Daily Devotions: Rewards for Right Living - February 2, 2026

Psalm 18:19–24 (ESV) “He brought me out into a broad place; he rescued me, because he delighted in me. The Lord dealt with me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands he rewarded me. For I have kept the ways of the Lord, and have not wickedly departed from my God. For all his rules were before me, and his statutes I did not put away from me. I was blameless before him, and I kept myself from my guilt. So the Lord has rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his sight.” In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall reminds us that while salvation is by grace, God still honors a life that chooses to do what is right. In the Old Testament, King David speaks with confidence, not pride, recognizing that God saw his innocence in the middle of attack and brought restoration because of it. This devotion encourages believers to keep choosing what is right even when the world mocks integrity or pressures compromise. God sees, God knows, and God rewards those who walk uprightly. ---- Discover fundamental truths and the power of Scripture with Pastor David E. Sumrall on Daily Devotions. Daily Devotions: Israel belongs to God - February 1, 2026

Exodus 15:13–17 (ESV) - “With your unfailing love you will lead the people you have redeemed; in your strength you will guide them to your holy dwelling. The nations will hear and tremble; anguish will grip the people of Philistia. The chiefs of Edom will be terrified, the leaders of Moab will be seized with trembling, all the inhabitants of Canaan will melt away. Terror and dread will fall on them; by the power of your arm they will be as still as a stone until your people pass by, O Lord, until the people you purchased pass by. You will bring them in and plant them on your own mountain, the place, O Lord, that you have made for your dwelling, the sanctuary, O Lord, your hands have established.” In this episode of Daily Devotions, Pastor David Sumrall explores God’s heart for the land of Israel. Long before the nation of Israel existed, God set His eyes on this land as His sacred dwelling, a place He loves and protects. Even through centuries of wars, destruction, and exile, the land itself remains His, a symbol of His presence and promise. Pastor Sumrall encourages believers to see God’s faithfulness and purpose across history, reminding us that God’s plan unfolds in His timing and that His love endures through all generations. Let’s understand God’s design, His care for what He chooses, and the importance of recognizing His hand in Israel and the world around us. ---- Discover fundamental truths and the power of Scripture with Pastor David E.
