#185: Three New Leadership Norms in Healthcare

In this episode, we talk about the three new leadership norms to become a Thriving, Resilient, and Unstoppable (TRU) healthcare leader.
We know that norms can be good things and helpful in our lives, but some norms may also unintentionally cause pain and suffering. In fact, these unhealthy leadership norms have been experienced by healthcare leaders for many years.
That’s why we are on a mission to bust through these unhealthy norms and help healthcare leaders embrace new norms that promote health, well-being, and dynamic balance in their lives.
In this podcast, we talk about the importance of being aware and mindful of those unhealthy norms and some of the negative sequences of following the old leadership norms.
We also talk about the importance of defining your ‘why’ for your boundaries and some of the positive outcomes if you establish the three new norms in your life.

#183: Leveraging Self-Reliance and Interdependence as a Healthcare Leader

In this podcast, we talk about the importance of leveraging the polarity of  Self-Reliance and Interdependence as a healthcare leader.
We know it’s been three years of COVID-19  and we are now post-pandemic, but we’re still living in a VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity) world where we need to be self-reliant and interdependent as we move through these challenging times.
In fact, both are equally important for emerging and evolving healthcare leaders to achieve effective and successful leadership.
In this podcast, we talk about why leveraging the tension between Self-Reliance and Interdependence requires self-awareness and mindful choices.
We also talk about the positive outcomes of Self-Reliance and Interdependence and some of the negative consequences if you over-focus on one to the neglect of the other.

#180: Encore Episode: TRU Series Polarity Intelligence

In this second episode of our three-part series, we focus on leveraging Polarity Intelligence™, which is Pillar #2 of our Dynamic Balance EffectTM (DBE) Framework.
Polarity Intelligence applies the “missinglogic” to leverage the unavoidable tensions and challenges impacting your daily life.
The thing is, most healthcare leaders feel these tensions are problems to solve because it’s the only lens they’ve ever known. If you treat them as problems and you don’t realize that you’re experiencing unmanaged polarities, you will realize your greatest fears and end up failing.
In this podcast, we talk about the numerous tensions that act on you and how to identify and leverage them to establish a balanced life.
We also talk about four crux personal polarities and their early warning signs, and negative outcomes if you over-focus on one over the other.
