    Episode 126 : Smith Snootles and The Mags Rebo Band

    Special guest interviewee this month is Craig Smith, joining Pete to tell all about his pre 1980s Star Wars collecting. Elsewhere the lads indulge in a little fantasy theme park fun, tell all about their latest finds with even Richard picking something up this month, and go international as Face-Off heads to Spain, Canada, Mexico and, err, Indonesia. Andy Preston takes the reigns as quizmaster, and the team picks the best new acquisitions from around the world, with a DT Ben, an prototype poster, a Vader / Chewie mix-up, soapy Star Wars and Italian stationery.     Episode 125 : Drewpy McCool or Tegg Fromm? You decide with Star Wars puns

    Consternation in TVR studios this month! Host Richard couldn’t decide between two puns on the name of special guest interviewee Drew Tegg, so he went with both. Which is best? You decide! Drew is the owner of Collector Displays, building premium quality display cabinets for collectors. We hear about how Star Wars inspires both his collecting and his business. In the Intro section, the lads look forward to a new Star Wars movie that’s apparently coming out in a few weeks time, and wonder why it’s getting so little publicity. Moving swiftly on there’s a run down of our new acquisitions, an educational Action Country Face-Off, an entertaining quiz from Pete, and a look at the best finds of the month from around the collecting world, including Slim Sticks, Konga Cola, Palitoy proofs, a Stormtrooper you can’t miss, and a BBQ restaurant button. In Rebel Briefings we welcome Tom Derby back to the collecting world, report on Echo Base Live, welcome a wonderful Palitoy book from Brian Hickey and look forward to a re-issue from Bob Brechin, anticipate a Fun day in Blackburn, and check out a Kenobi Blank Back Proof.     Episode 124 : The Legend of the EU Legends

    Joining Rich as special guest interviewee this month is a man who needs no introduction to Fantha Tracks listeners, it’s Mr Brian Cameron.  Brian has long service as a Star Wars journalist and podcaster, having written for TheForce.net, Jedi Net, Jedi News, and Fantha Tracks.  He also shares Richard’s love of literature from the galaxy far, far away, and it’s sure to be an interesting and informative chat. The lads kick off the first podcast of 2026 in fine style as they look back at the year gone, and discuss their plans and collecting goals for the New Year.  Will Pete be hoping to get himself that gold bikini? Listen and find out! A plentiful plethora of new acquisitions are discussed, Rich gets quizzical, and the Action Figure Country Vehicle Face Off Thing has a uniquely Euro flavour, visiting Yugoslavia, Hungary, Germany and Finland.  Shout-outs see the team bring their favourite acquisitions to the table with an Australian threesome, dodgy jigsaws, cheesy triangles, a soapy box, and signs of the radio.     Episode 123 : Ben Potter and the Bunker of Secrets

    It’s a Wizard shop Peter! Special guest this month Ben Potter joins Pete and Spoons to tell all about his exciting new venture, The Bunker collectibles shop, just opened in Hogwarts - err sorry, Royston near Barnsley in the frozen North. The show opens with a remembrance of poster artist Drew Struzan, who recently passed, and a chat about the lads’ favourite posters. Rich expands the New Acquisitions section to take in any old tat, and there’s another international Face-Off, taking in Croatia, Venezuela, Israel and the land of Dog Chow. Andy P hosts a colourful cardback quiz, and the NA shout-outs feature some tasty 32-backs, a cracking carnival mirror, a trio of vinyl capes, an exciting early bird, and a lovely lenticular poster. Rebel Briefings brings in stories from around the collecting world including fab food ads, a Toy Fair find, Boba’s blaster, the final (sob!) Farthest From, featured finds from Vectis, and re-living Echo Live. Licensee this month is Burtons Biscuits, who produced a range of ‘Crisp biscuits sprinkled with mint sugar’ in Star Wars packaging, popular with 80s kids in Britain.     Episode 122: Pearce and Gillette - The Best Amanaman Can Get?

    This month features a special double interview with Jim Pearce and Simon Gillett, who join Andy P in a Westcountry trio, to discuss Star Wars media in all its glorious formats - audio, visual, print and more. The podcast opens with a spooky pitch for Halloween fun in a galaxy far, far away, after which the lads discuss their latest pick-ups, and the Face-Off continues its global world tour.  There’s a cracking quiz from Jason, and in New Acquisitions, the team discusses a calculator clock ruler combo, a Mind Circus mug, an Omni Cosmetics display, some Tortuous diecast, and a flask from darkest Peru.     Welcome to another amazing episode of the TVR podcast! Special guest this month is Michael Thornton, better known on Facebook as Michael Peter. He tells Richard all about his passions for Turkish delights, Princesses aplenty, and Liverpool FC - well, nobody’s perfect. In the Intro section we mark the passing of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne in true TVR fashion by forming our own band from the vintage figure line.     Our special interview guest this month is multi-award winning childrens’ author and illustrator Rob Biddulph, who tells Andy P not only of his experience growing up as a Star Wars fan, but especially, a memorable 1979 visit to Elstree Studios, home of The Empire Strikes Back. We’re still on a Japanese theme this month, as our special guest interviewee is Andy Takara, joining Spoons to talk Oriental collectibles, Celebration, and of course his passion for all things keshi. We start the show with a look forward to Celebration LA in 2027, and what we might expect. Moving swiftly on, the intro section sees the lads discuss their latest pick-ups, defend their selections in Action Playset Face-Off, and get quizzical with Spoons. The New Acquisitions feature has an international flavour as we sample new finds from Mexico, Poland, Spain, Germany and … err … Brentford. In Rebel Briefings, Andy P interviews Mark Harewood who tells of a close encounter with a Sith Lord in a Belfast toy shop. The team goes on to discuss conventions past and future, and Chris Fawcett coins it in. There’s news of discoveries in the diecast and baggie sectors, a look at old and new home made toys, and an update on the impending Palitoy publication.
