The Blacker Than Black Times Infinity crew (C Prodigy, Kr0nus, The Old Ninja, and Your Boy Blue) gets into it this week — starting with a loaded Dearly Departed segment (Eric Bauza, Richard Riehle, RJ Mitte, Mike Ditka, Walter Koenig, and Tom Skerritt) before diving into the Black Panther III casting conversation they’ve owed y’all since July: David Jonsson stepping into T’Challa’s legacy, plus the new Storm and Rogue, and a deep tangent on Black actors voicing characters nobody realized were Black. The fellas also break down the new A Different World and why it’s hitting different for folks who grew up on the original, take a nostalgic lap through I’m Gonna Git You Sucka, Black Dynamite, and the gospel of Isaac Hayes, and get real about Brazil’s runoff election, ICE hypocrisy, the Cornell assault case, and Nicki Minaj’s increasingly confusing political arc. Plus: a No Man’s Sky redemption arc, a new Mass Effect spiritual successor worth watching, and a Xavier Renegade Angel bit that completely derails the episode in the best way. Halloween plans, a birthday shoutout, and the usual chaos included. Kr0nus, C Prodigy, and The Old Ninja hold it down this week (Blue and Stitch sat this one out) for a gaming-heavy sit-down that opens on BioWare’s shutdown — a full post-mortem on Mass Effect, Dragon Age, and Anthem, plus where the studio’s old talent landed (Exodus, Fate of the Republic) — before tracking the AI-decompiling wave letting people play Call of Duty in a Chrome tab and mod Shadow of Mordor’s Nemesis system into Red Dead Redemption 2. From there: the PC-gaming renaissance (Steam Machine/Frame/Deck scarcity, scalper-proofing, cross-save), a full GTA VI preview — release economics, the existing GTA+ subscription, paywalled “special edition” stores, the new wanted-system AI — and The Old Ninja’s deep-dive review of Gears of War: E-Day (a 9/10, grifting penalty included), where he methodically dismantles the backlash over its queer-coded character and female squad leader with receipts on real women gamers catching hate for no reason. Konami actually gets a compliment for Silent Hill: Townfall. Then the crew turns to Metallica’s James Hetfield catching flack for his “we don’t do politics” Sphere speech from a band whose entire catalog is political, Vegas sticker shock, the state of the Western genre, and — the episode’s heaviest stretch — Vivek Ramaswamy’s Ohio governor-race attack ad weaponizing his opponent’s childhood sexual-abuse history, which opens into a wider conversation about tokenism, how the GOP treats its Black and brown supporters, and California’s own white-supremacist footprint. Eps 562 We Need El Super Negro

Prodigy and Stitch are out this week, so Kr0nus, The Old Ninja, and Your Boy Blue are holding it down... and they cover a LOT of ground. We open by pouring one out for R&B singer Freddie Jackson ("Rock Me Tonight," "You Are My Lady") and his duet with the late Irene Cara. Then it's on to a friend of Kr0nus finally heading home to San Diego on the USS Abraham Lincoln after a brutal stretch at sea, and a reality check on just how big California's economy really is (hint: it's top four in the world). So, the news. The crew digs into the administration's comments about San Diego and Los Angeles, immigration enforcement, what "martial law" actually looks like, and the upcoming midterms. It's opinionated, it's personal, and it's about what you'd expect from this group. Then it's pop culture overload. GTA 6 hype (plus a throwback to playing Drug Wars on a TI-86), a Black Mirror deep dive (Striking Vipers, USS Callister, Black Museum, and why you keep your phone off you in VR), an 80s sci-fi tangent about the show V, and a full review of HBO's Lanterns with light spoilers. Is it Watchmen meets True Detective? Where was Batman? And is Hal Jordan really gone? Plus some love for Alien: Earth and Raised by Wolves. Real life gets its share too. Gas hit $6.89 a gallon and a $152 fill-up for Kr0nus, streaming prices keep climbing (if you can afford Netflix in this economy...), and Kr0nus scored both a Steam Machine and a Steam Frame off the wait list, which leads to a debate on used PS5 Pro prices and whether anyone would come back from a true Oasis. Kr0nus also updates us on his 3D printing journey, including a drawer print gone sideways and the day he learned AI won't make a copyrighted comic character for you. Blue takes us on a tour of 10th Street American Whiskey Company in San Jose, followed by a crash course on why some whiskey has an E and some doesn't, with a little Japanese whisky and Oban for good measure. Then the weekly check-ins: Blue's improv class (he laughed so hard he got a headache), an art and wine festival, Kr0nus's road trip and his grand niece's first birthday at Sesame Place, and The Old Ninja diving into Gears of War: E-Day while waiting on the Battlefield 6 Halloween update with a Dead Space crossover. C Prodigy, Kr0nus, The Old Ninja, and Your Boy Blue pull up for another one — Stitch sits this episode out. This week: a tribute to Dennis Haskins (Mr. Belding) and a detour into how child-actor labor laws shaped shows like Saved by the Bell, plus how often teens get cast as "adults" on screen. That rolls into a frank talk about nudity and adult content norms on TV — Green Lantern, Oz, and Watchmen all get name-checked, with a deep dive on Oz specifically. On the nerd side: a critical look at the Injustice comics and animated movie, a long, nostalgic breakdown of Netflix's A Different World reboot (HBCU pride, the set design, the fashion, the theme song's history), and a full rundown of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run. Gaming talk covers the Witcher 3 remaster and the gap between the Final Fantasy VI and VII remake treatments. The crew doesn't shy away from the heavy stuff this episode — a candid conversation about race and representation (sparked by Kr0nus's shirt), gas prices and the politics behind them, immigration enforcement and detention conditions in the U.S., and a global look at resource scarcity and rising international tension. That includes a measured discussion of an Iranian singer's sentencing and why the crew pushes back on using stories like that to claim moral high ground while similar issues go unaddressed at home. They also touch on the Cornell fraternity assault case as part of a broader conversation about accountability. Lighter stuff to close it out: Kr0nus shows off his new 3D printer (dragons, articulating cats, a working fidget spinner, and more), Your Boy Blue recaps a Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure trip (shoutout to the Stardust dueling coasters and the live-action Bourne-style stunt show), and the group trades movie and TV recommendations — the horror-comedy They Will Kill You, a Mahershala Ali revenge thriller, and HBO's Lanterns. Personal updates round things out: travel plans, a completed round of therapy, Battlefield 6 talk (including Halloween Dead Space crossover rumors), and more.
