Why Giving Up Control Is Actually the Good Life | November 1st 2026

Welcome to Grace Pointe! We're so happy you could join us online. In this message from Mark 8:34-38, we explore what Jesus actually meant when he said 'take up your cross,' and it's far more costly and more freeing than most of us realize. For his original audience, carrying a cross meant one thing: you were already sentenced, already done living for yourself. Jesus isn't talking about everyday hardships like sickness or financial stress, but the very real cost of choosing obedience when it puts your reputation, relationships, comfort, or security on the line. Through the stories of Abraham, Daniel's friends, and three would-be disciples who hesitated at the wrong moment, we discover that the safest life isn't the one with the fewest risks, but the one fully surrendered to Christ. If you've been feeling the tension between what God is calling you to and what you're afraid to lose, this message is for you. Welcome to Grace Pointe! We're so happy you could join us online. More Information ↓ Connect with us:  Everyone is living under something. Whether it is the pressure to succeed, the need for approval, the pursuit of comfort, or a religious system built on performance, we all have something we serve, something that shapes our choices and demands our energy. The question Jesus asks in Matthew 11 is not whether you carry a yoke but which one. In this message, we unpack one of the most comforting and challenging invitations Jesus ever gave, "Take my yoke upon you and learn from me," and discover that the rest he offers is not a vacation from responsibility but relief from the exhausting weight of being your own master. Sin is not just rule-breaking, it is the restlessness of a soul disconnected from the one it was made for, and no amount of striving, whether through lawlessness or legalism, ever quiets that ache. Jesus offers something entirely different, not another set of rules to follow but a relationship to walk in, with someone who is gentle and humble in heart and who has already done what we never could. If you are tired of carrying something that keeps promising everything and delivering nothing, this message is the invitation you have been waiting for. Believe and Be Baptized | October 11th 2026

Welcome to Grace Pointe! We're so happy you could join us online.  Most people treat baptism as a nice milestone, something you get around to eventually, but Jesus treated it as the first step. In this message, we look at what Jesus actually commanded in the Great Commission and what the early church did every single time someone believed, and the pattern is impossible to miss. Baptism does not save you. It does not earn God’s favor or add anything to what Christ already finished on the cross. But it is also never presented as something a follower of Jesus just skips. It is the moment you go public, the declaration that the old life is over and a new one has begun, an identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection that marks the starting line of learning to obey everything he commanded. If you have been putting it off out of fear, family pressure, or simply not getting around to it, this message speaks directly to that delay. And if you have not yet trusted Christ, this is an invitation to understand what real surrender actually looks like before you ever step into the water.  More Information ↓  Connect with us:  Website: https://gracepointe.us  Facebook: https://facebook.com/gpnchurch  Instagram: https://instagram.com/gpnchurch  YouTube: https://youtube.com/@GracePointe  https://www.youtube.com/@GracePointePlainfield Naperville Campus, Sundays at 8, 9:30 and 11:15 AM LIVE Online at 9:30 AM  Plainfield Campus, Sundays at 9 and 10:45 AM

Being Good Is Not Good Enough | September 20th 2026

Welcome to Grace Pointe! We're so happy you could join us online.Nicodemus had everything religion could offer. He was moral, respected, educated in the Scriptures, and genuinely seeking God, and Jesus looked him in the eye and told him it still wasn't enough. In this message from John 3, we explore one of the most important conversations in the entire Bible and what Jesus meant when he said you must be born again. The problem isn't that we need to try harder or clean up our lives a little more. The problem is that sin hasn't just damaged us, it has left us spiritually dead, and dead people cannot rehabilitate themselves. New life requires a miracle, and that miracle is exactly what God offers. Just as Moses lifted up a bronze serpent in the wilderness so that anyone who looked to it would live, Jesus was lifted up on a cross so that everyone who believes in him would receive eternal life. Whether you have never trusted Christ or have followed him for years, this message will remind you that salvation was never about your performance, and that is the best news imaginable.More Information ↓ Connect with us:Website: https://gracepointe.usFacebook: https://facebook.com/gpnchurchInstagram: https://instagram.com/gpnchurchYouTube:https://youtube.com/@GracePointe https://youtube.com/@GracePointePlainfield Naperville Campus, Sundays at 8, 9:30 and 11:15 AMLIVE Online at 9:30 AMPlainfield Campus, Sundays at 9 and 10:45 AM
