If you remember back to the show "Seinfeld," you will recall that George and Jerry pitched a new pilot show to NBC. Their idea? A show about nothing. That's right. Nothing. And...that's exactly why that show was so popular. It was a show about nothing. They discussed the nitty gritty aspects of life that you just couldn't get on other shows. We have modeled the Wildcast EM podcast after Seinfeld....we are an audio program about nothing! Mixed with banter, inappropriate comments, and humor, the Wildcast EM gang discusses topics in emergency medicine, critical care, medical education, ultrasound, and life that you just won't hear on other podcasts.

Not just a podcast about nothing
Despite the Man-Cave feel and the brewing bromance between Rob and Will, there are quite a few, juicy, delicious, gleaming clinical pearls… keep up the good work guys.

Let's be honest. When we think about #FOAMed we aren't always looking for the same thing from all sources. We all have our learning styles and interests. It would be stupid to think that any one source is best for everyone universally. If you don't like something, no need to shout about it in a loud voice (cough taking about that jerk who gave 1 star JTRoberts3).
This podcast is upfront about what it hopes to achieve. The participants are laid back, discuss many issues pertaining to Emergency Medicine and medicine in general, and have tons of fun doing that! In the past few weeks I've listened to them discuss how resident physicians learn, how medical students should be taught, the challenges that nurses and physicians face in delivering quality medical care, reviews of why FOAMed is important and how trainees and all of us really should find a way to strike balance between FOAMed and traditional modes of learning like textbooks or lectures.
No need to get into pissy fits (JTRoberts3) because you don't like someone's style or way of delivering content. Just shut up and move along to the next topic you want to rain on.
Rock on, Dr. Rogers, et al! You inspire me, and you will continue to grow as a podcast & earn respect because you are honest, entertaining, and versatile!
Entertaining and informative podcast that makes my drive not so bad
These guys breath some fresh air into the realm of medical podcast. I mean, they do bourbon reviews! Entertaining with little nuggets of solid advice mixed in. Felt like I needed to give a good review after that one douche-nozzle gave a one star. That dude probably stills wears Jean shorts and fanny packs. Anyway, check these guys out!
