The weekend messages from our church.

    Devoted

Following Jesus draws us into a community where the Holy Spirit transforms us as we grow together. Acts 2:42–47 paints a picture of a church devoted to God’s Word, fellowship, shared meals, and prayer—a community marked by generosity, joy, and God’s power. Through forgiveness, repentance, and everyday obedience, we’re invited to move beyond isolation, live with open hands, and help one another become who God is calling us to be.

    This Jesus Is Lord

Jesus is Lord—and that changes everything. In Acts 2:22–41, Peter announces the good news: Jesus was crucified, raised from the dead, and now reigns as King. Through repentance, faith, and baptism, we are invited into a new life and a new family, empowered by the Holy Spirit. As we forgive, welcome, serve, and love one another, we make his kingdom visible and bear witness to the hope found in Jesus.

    People Like Us

You don’t have to earn God’s love by being the person who never needs help. In Acts 2, the Holy Spirit fills ordinary people and empowers them to make Jesus known—a mission we’re still part of today. God’s presence goes with us into our homes, workplaces, and everyday relationships. As we learn to depend on him, we can trust him to work through us in ways we could never manage on our own, beginning with a simple prayer: “God, I need you.”

    Good News. Good Work.

What changes when we really believe Jesus is alive? His resurrection is the beginning of a story that continues through his people. Acts 1:1–8 invites us to pray with expectation, welcome others, and follow Jesus beyond what feels comfortable. But before we pour ourselves into God’s work, we need him to pour his Spirit into us. Through the Holy Spirit, we’re empowered to share the hope of Jesus in our everyday lives and to the ends of the earth.

    The Story Isn't Over

The resurrection changes everything. Jesus is alive, death does not have the final word, and forgiveness and hope are available to everyone. We don’t need all the answers to share this good news—we simply tell the truth about what we’ve seen and experienced. When ordinary people build their lives around the reality of the risen Jesus, God can use them to change the world.

    Grace For Today

Jesus is a King unlike any other. He responds to cruelty with forgiveness, uses his power to save others rather than himself, and offers grace that cannot be earned. The criminal beside Jesus had no time to repair his past or prove himself—he could only turn toward Jesus in trust. Grace is not a reward for those who have fixed their lives; it is a gift for those who turn to him. Forgiveness, belonging, and life with the King can begin today.

    Like A Good Neighbour

Jesus calls us to a life shaped by love for God and active compassion for the people around us. The story of the Good Samaritan challenges us to notice the hurt we might otherwise walk past, resist the temptation to reduce people to categories or problems, and allow compassion to move us toward costly, practical love. Eternal life begins with trusting Jesus, and that new life is then expressed as we serve our neighbours, enter into their pain, and use what God has given us to bring healing, dignity, hope, and restoration.

    When to Pick a Fight

Jesus’ transfiguration reveals not only who he truly is, but who we are becoming through him. His death and resurrection were never a defeat but the fulfillment of God’s plan to conquer death, overcome the powers of evil, and redeem people from every nation. Because we belong to Christ, we are sons and daughters of God, being transformed into his likeness and invited to live from that identity rather than from accusation, shame, or the pressure to prove ourselves. Knowing who Jesus is changes how we see ourselves and frees us to reflect his image in everyday life, bringing order, beauty, dignity, and goodness into the places God has put us.
