The Backstory podcast is a wish granted: This is exactly the podcast I was hoping to find! Alex Roberts does a great job interviewing really fascinating creators. It's inspiring, informing, and fun. I'm so happy to get to know the real people behind these games, making it possible to see myself following in their footsteps.

Backstory is a wonderful interview show that consists of a collection of delightful, friendly and interesting converstaions with game designers from across the hobby. The host brings her background in LARP to the table in a way that makes for some interesting connections and promotes that unfaily maligned corner of RPGs as a valid form of play that is worth exploring

I cannot say enough good things about this podcast. It's instrumental for anyone who wants to understand game design beyond the basics, this is a strong (yet friendly) introduction to the mindsets of some of the most important people in the indie games world today.

Backstory is wonderful, I love listening to it every other week. Each episode teaches me something new about design, people, or just the world in which we live. Alex has perspectives completly different from my own, and through her questions and the wonderful guests she has interviewed I have been able to broaden my understanding of analog games and life in general. The biggest compliment to this show I can give, is after starting to learn about and understand the larger world of LARP, and break down many of my own unfounded preconceptions, this show was responsible for getting me to try LARP for the first time. It was a great experience and I am so thankful I found this show, and hope to have more experiences like it in the future. Lastly, Alex has an amazing voice, it is so soothing and I could listen for hours.
