Project ShaqBox

I love the concept of Project Shaqbox, in sending each guest 10 baseball cards to serve as a launching point for a discussion about each player, among other things. However, there are big audio problems with this podcast that have surprisingly not gotten any better since the beginning. There's constant glitches that drop out entire words throughout, and that's only the minor annoyance. There's major lags and delays in the audio that at some points leads to silence from both parties. If the audio were to get cleaned up and the constant ticks removed, this would be a really entertaining podcast. I'll check back in a few episodes to see if any of these have been addressed.

Jesse Spector, national baseball writer for The Sporting News, compiles 10 card stacks of baseball cards, sends them to upcoming guests, and we all win. The resultant jumpings off (yes, jumpings) into discussions of stars, teams, culture, obscure journeymen, middle relievers and who knows what next are a delight. Bonus: you may even get to brush up on your metric conversions!
