More Than a Mixtape: E05 The Agoraphobes

In this week's interview, I talk with 2 out of 4 members of the alternative rock band The Agoraphobes, Griffin Roberts and Andrew Perrea (minus Sam Petersen and Will Strasser). The banterful Griffin and Andrew tell me why music should be like a chair, the difference between being an artist and being a musician, and their use of the rare major 7 chord. Also included is a sneak peek of one of their unreleased songs. theagoraphobes.bandcamp.com instagram.com/the_agoraphobes

More Than a Mixtape: E04 Roberto (Stoop Kid)

This week I speak with Roberto, also known as Stoop Kid, a rapper who has a stunningly poetic and clear style. He comments on investing in Cincinnati youth, how he creates deeper meaning in modern day hip hop, and gives us a freestyle. Also commenting is Antonio, a member of Roberto's hip hop collective. Towards the end is Roberto and I's musical collaboration. More Than a Mixtape: E03 Jay Duprae

I interview Jay Duprae, a rapper/hip-hop artist who writes all his own songs and is currently working on a debut album. A city boy who has had a passion for music all his life, he discusses with me stereotypes of rap music, the melting pot of Cincinnati, and his resounding message to listeners: Just Vibe soundcloud.com/jaydupraemusic

Interview with Spencer Peppet and Grace Weir of The Ophelias, a quirky indie rock girl band, also including Andrea Gutmann Fuentes and Micaela Adams.
