A New Season with Jeremy Enns - A True Digital Nomad

Today we are talking with Jeremy Enns, founder of Podcast Marketing Academy and Counterweight Creative. I have had the honor of knowing ( & becoming great friends with) Jeremy since he first joined LI in 2016 and have watched his businesses grow like crazy. Jeremy (& his partner Kelly) are true digital nomads in that they have been living all over the world for years while working on their ever-expanding businesses. In this episode, we discuss digital nomad visas (& how things line up as they are supposed to), what the journey looks like from scrapping by to fully location independent, and why it is smart to build your business with a lifestyle-first mindset to avoid a lot of stressors that happen when you are growing your business.  We also get into why travel doesn't have to be the thing you build everything around, how having an exit strategy for your business is a positive thing especially when you are first starting it up, and how you know when you need to pivot or pull the plug. What was your biggest takeaway from today's episode?  Let us know over on Instagram! TLDR Jeremy's location independent journey from scrapping-by to flourishing Why a lifestyle-first mindset is important Travel doesn't have to be the thing you build everything around Why exit strategies are important even when first starting out How do you know when to pivot vs pull the plug Process first, outcome second Sitting in discomfort can help you find your life purpose Guest Bio Jeremy Enns is the founder of Podcast Marketing Academy, the only growth-focused podcast education platform for experienced creators, brands, and marketers looking to build long-term, sustainable audience growth systems. He loves any sport that involves a frisbee, used to co-host an explicit-rated ice cream podcast, once bicycled across Europe, and will always look back on the day he finally saved up enough money to buy the Millennium Falcon Lego set as one of his proudest achievements. A New Season with Craig Cannings - Freelancing Success

Today we are talking with Craig Cannings, co-owner (with his wife Kelly) of Freelance University, father to five daughters, and lover of travel which means he fits in here in every way possible. I had the opportunity to get to know Craig over the last year and I couldn't wait to get him on the podcast because he effortlessly spits out fantastic insights without even trying. In this episode, we are getting into how building a business while raising little kids demands that you have systems in place,  why lifestyle first was the precipice for going on this journey into entrepreneurship, and how can you navigate a season of life change (like a business failing) in a way that best suits your family & your future self. We also get real about productivity & non-negotiable time and the role they play in the statement "I don't have enough time to build a business of my own" which (hint, hint) you have more time than you realize. If you want to enter into a new season of life, give this episode a listen because waiting for something to happen vs taking action is going to dictate your outcome and we give away some great insights and advice on how to make it happen. What are your expectations for starting your own business timewise? Are you being realistic?  Let us know over on Instagram! Guest Bio Craig Cannings is the co-founder of Freelance University with his wife, Kelly. Craig has had the privilege of helping over 20,000 students in 75 countries realize their dreams of launching a portable, freelance business (and lifestyle). He has enjoyed the great freedom of working from home and traveling abroad while raising 5 wonderful daughters. Today we are talking with Erica Hackman from The Nomadic Network who is also the owner of Decoding Online Dating. Erica and I go back a few years and she is one of my favorite people to talk to and it always seems like once we are together, we can spend hours upon hours talking about travel, and business, and even get into some deep topics effortlessly.   On this episode, we are getting into how people can ebb & flow from your life depending on the season you are currently in, why being comfortable being you can help you navigate your seasons of life, and how looking at your future through a lifestyle lens can make it less daunting and overwhelming. I adore our conversations and I am always learning and gaining so much great advice from my time talking with Erica.   When you look at the next 5 years from a lifestyle lens instead of a purely business mindset, what does it look like for you?  Let us know over on Instagram! Guest Bio Erica is the Director of Nomadic Matt's community: The Nomadic Network.
