Radio TCX | An X-Wing Miniatures Fan Podcast Tim Dugan, Carson Wray, and John McDermid

Thanks for keeping XWing alive and vibrant with a concise, enjoyable cast to the entire range of novice, expert, casual, and competitive.

There are other X-Wing podcasts, but this one is the most efficient, high production quality, to the point and well formatted. I turned on one of the other competitors yesterday and heard someone’s nose whistling as he breathed. You won’t find that here.

These guys are so awesome!

You can tell there is a plan for each podcast and they are great at conversations with one another and explaining the topics in a way that newer players can learn without annoying more veteran players. Brand new or competitive the content is great. Now more knowledgeable myself I still appreciate them explaining cards and pilots, etc. You’ll find it all here.

I wanted to really learn the game after stepping away for bit. First edition player that had kids, etc. So after listening to newer episodes I went to the beginning and started going through all the episodes in order. It’s really neat to see the game evolve and listen to the points changes and everything that has happened over the years. I really liked their breakdown of ship types. Heavy, light, etc in some older episodes.

Tim is very thoughtful and energetic always keeping it fun and on track. Seems to put in the legwork I assume and it shows. They don’t veer off course like many xwing podcasts.

Carson has a fun cadence to his voice and is also energetic and concise with thoughts while keeping it fun. He is the perfect counterpoint to Tim. And he has some fun antics. Tim does too. “My allegiance is to the republic..to democracy!”

What’s fun more recently is seeing John come into his own and adding a lot to the conversation. They all know the game and lore but he adds another perspective and knowledge base. Can see the original 2 trust giving him more room to contribute. The energy of all of them together is great.

Thanks Guys. Brings a lot of value to an older gencon going xwing player with kids in the cornfields of Ohio. Is nice to feel like I’m with my old friends and enjoy the discussion of the game. Thanks for all the effort.
