Omnivore

I have been studying and speaking Thai for the last few years and love listening to Omnivore. The hosts have good senses of humor and choose interesting topics. Please continue making this podcast for many seasons!

These guys strike a great balance between seriously exploring a given topic, yet also being able to avoid being pretentious about it. ผมก็ชอบฟังพ็อดคาสท์นี้เพราะพวกเขาเจาะลึก - แต่พวกเขาไม่ได้สู่รู้เลย - มันฟังดูกันเองตลอดครับ! 5ดาวแน่นอน! :)

I have really enjoyed the first few episodes listening to these guys. They get along about like any typical radio personalities and their back and forth is fun. The reason I say they are great for learning Thai is because they speak in very normal, conversational language (not like listening to the news), but they talk about a lot of subjects I haven't learned about. This is a great place to pick up suble meanings of the smaller interjection words Thai people use everyday, similar to our "yeah, ya'know, mhmm, yup, pftt" in English, but also to branch out your vocabulary beyond ordering food :) One minor note, it says "Clean Lyrics" but while they don't just drop the equivalent f-bomb all the time, they do occasionally use a bit of swearing. Think Start Trek TNG level.
