Perfect Organism: The Alien Saga Podcast

I’ve been a long time listener of this podcast, probably from episode number five going forward and have been very attached to the alien legacy like many others who listen to this podcast. And giving the hosts some credit, it’s very hard to maintain consistent content around a brand that simply has failed and has got so diluted that it’s almost become your typical DC/Marvel storytelling at a minimum. And the hosts tried to balance that with a fan base that is growing consistently more toxic, and divided, because of poorly written scripts, bad ideas, and no original storytelling around characters. And when you put another episode out, that talks about the dynamics of these movies, you just lose interest. Personally, the final straw for me was bringing in the wife of one of the hosts as a “regular contributor”, which in my mind disrupts the unbiased balance that I look for in a good podcast.

Perfect Organism is the only podcast for the Alien Universe a fan could need. In addition to having an encyclopedic knowledge of the extended lore, the hosts bring the type of thoughtful insights and critiques that only people truly fluent in the art of storytelling can. Jaime and Patrick are fantastic, but so are the guests and the staple of co-hosts that cycle through on different episodes. I often disagree with opinions expressed on the show, but the episodes are always thought provoking. And where is the joy of geeky obsession if not in having heated disagreements with other people just as passionate as you? Every time I check out another Alien podcast, it always reminds me just how good PO and the people who produce it are. I always come back. Can’t recommend enough.

I found this podcast at a time I didn’t know I needed it. The Alien franchise is the best out there and the depths to which this pod goes to explore the series makes it stand out above the rest. Whether it be reviews of current and past media, roundtables, interviews or delving into the characters that we all love so much, including the baddest movie creature ever, this is the spot for all fans of the franchise. The hosts make you feel a part of the community and are engaging and personable. 5 facehuggers!

I have been listen to PO for years now and cannot get enough. So many conversations involving the emotional depth of the series, character motivations, and correlations to our lives. The audio dramas, sublime noise and so much more are icing on a xenos back stick! Heres to many more episodes! Remember xeno resin tastes delicious- Zarnold Quigley
