Welcome all you slack jawing sons of bitches to Men of Action, the monthly action movie throw down show. This month we are pitting 2, 1980's nostalgic action flicks against one another in a no holds barred battle to the death, to see which one truly reigns supreme. Our contestants in this month's Eighties Beat Down are 1982's "The Beastmaster" & 1986's "Avenging Force". Along the way we will give you our monthly recommendations of must see movies and TV shows, as well as defecate all over a pair of horse shit films, and to top it all off we will close things out with 4 new inductees into our exclusive, Top 100 Films Of All Time list. So buckle up buckeroos, shit's about to get explosive.

"I Must Break" This Podcast - Dead Trigger
On this month's episode, we're talking Dolph, the post-apocalypse, and zombies! No, we're not taking another look at 2013's Battle of the Damned, but instead Dolph's SECOND foray into zombie territory with 2019's Dead Trigger! Yes, five years after Battle of the Damned, Dolph went back to a similar well and once again took on hordes of zombies! In this adaptation of a popular mobile video game, Lundgren plays Kyle Walker, a hard-nosed mercenary in a near future with a penchant for wasting zombies! Yet even the best of the best can't slay zombies alone, so joining him on this mission is a team of teenage video gamers with just the right skills to ensure that the human race might live to see another day! Joining me to discuss this one is Scott Murphy, host of All 90’s Action, All the Time! What exactly went on behind the scenes with this one? Wait... I attribute this podcast to that of listening to an audiobook. I’m a listener who has not yet watched the movies, so I can say with confidence from this angle, that the storytelling is on point. The format of the podcast is like listening to an audiobook chapter by chapter (listening to the actual scenes in the movie) and then listening to the breakdown of that chapter in group discussion (kind of like a virtual book club) - to include some great debates and entertaining tangents. Keep up the great work, Katie, Kyle, & Ryan! Happy New Year, ey!
Go The Distance With Other True Rocky Fans
If you love the Rocky franchise, or more of Sylvester Stallone’s work, this feed is for you. All the shows have something worthwhile to offer, but “Going The Distance: The Rocky & Creed Series Podcast” is the crown jewel for its enthusiastic insights into the saga from different perspectives. Hosts Ryan, Kyle and Katie are diehard Rocky fans and very knowledgeable about the films and beyond. Their chemistry makes for a fun listen and it’s great to hear my personal favorite movie series discussed in depth on a consistent basis.
